Eli's Song

"June 1 1987

Dear Vionessi,

It's been too long, my dear. I miss you and please don't forget to write back. I love you. "

Eli tears the page. There is no way her lady would read that and think, "Oh, my partner misses me." Eli decided to try again.

"For all the stars in the sky,
Could never shine as bright as your eyes,
Oh darling...

I'd be captive without you."

Eli's phone rings.

"Hello?" she answers confused, as the number is unknown.

"Hey, love! It's Felix! Girl, there's a party on 52nd Street, come check it out okay bye girl love you!" Felix says quickly.

Eli hangs up the phone laughing. She walks to her closet. What says I'm polite but I want to steal your heart? A crop top sweater, black leather skirt, combat boots, and round rimmed glasses of course. She throws her outfit together and readies her letter for Vionessi. Eli misses her girlfriend more than any could imagine. She shakes the thoughts away and heads out the door, putting her lover's letter in the mailbox before flipping the red flag. If only there were another red flag for her to see later.

Eli walks up to the front door where Felix stands, wearing his floral button up with his black skinny jeans. It's kind of funny, his pastel cotton candy matches his belt blue and shoes pink. She shakes her head at him already, he's always matching.

"Felix! What in the world are you wearing?" Eli tells to him over the sound of dumb jocks flirting girls who are way to smart to fall for an elementary pick up line.

"Oh hey Hun! You like?" Felix asks twirling a little, dragging out the 'i'.  Eli giggles and grabs his hand, walking through the front door, beginning a new chapter in her lifelong journey.

Eli decides that the party was almost as dumb as the before mentioned jocks. She and Felix decide to make what was unknowingly a life altering decision.

"Let's go to the cemetery? Let's pretend it's Halloween!" Felix squeals.

Eli just shrugs and walks with.

Out of the corner of her eye, Eli swears she saw something. Was it just a figment of her imagination? Were her eyes merely playing tricks on her? Or was someone there, hiding, waiting for the perfect time for the perfect crime?

"F-Felix, I don't think we should stay here..." Eli whispers. She turns around and is horrified.

Felix is there. With a knife to his throat.

"Say goodbye to your friend. Say hello to your master." And with that, the shadow man killed young Felix on sight. Eli tries to scream but nothing comes out. Eli tries to run, but is frozen still. That is until a hand is placed upon her shoulder. The shadow man. She tries and tries to run but gets nowhere. Soon she smells something weird.

Chloroform. An hour later she wakes up in a van. She screams and screams and screams and beats on the sides of the van only to get a beat back. The "shadow man" was revealed and Eli had never been more horrified. She'd finally met her kidnapper. Her best friend's killer.

Her worst enemy.

Eli is tied up and escorted to a room, an attic she supposed. There are 10 twin sized beds in it. 'What is this?' She asked herself. Truth be told, she had no clue. Not one whatsoever. The man forces her on a bed. He points to a closet with the number 7 on it.

"From now on, you are referred to as Seven. Those are your clothes. Be ready at 7 for the initiation. You are now part of our family. You will not leave unless told to do so. What is your name?" The man asks.

"E-Eli." Eli says confidently.

Eli is slapped.

"Wrong. You are Seven." The man yells.

"W-What is your n-na-name?" Seven asks.

"Just call me Master." Master says with a grin. "There are 9 other girls rooming with you. Get comfortable and be polite and we'll have no problems here, Seven." Master says with a nod and leaves the room.

'What did I get myself into?' Seven thinks to herself.
