it's 12:24 a.m. and i'm
staring into the mirror,
seeing the both of us laughing
while in this side of the universe
i'm crying my lungs out,
trying not to make a sound.
it's a curse, isn't it?
the universe tying our strings together
only to cut us apart
when all we needed
was one more step.
one more step.
i close my eyes and
take a deep breath.
the song is about to end
and i slowly wake up to reality.
all i see is my reflection now,
trying to make sense
of all the broken pieces
you left behind.
