A few weeks later and not much had happened. I tried to pry more information about ghosts from the ginger girl, but she refused. Deku kept watching my classmates and complaining to me about how he couldn't take notes.
One day in class, Eraserhead told us we'd be doing battle training at the USJ, and i didn't get why we'd be going to the Universal Studio of Japan but the extras seemed excited.
Once I got on the bus, I took a seat near the back. The ginger sat next to me, and everyone else sat down and started talking. "Are you going to ask about ghosts again?" Ginger asked. I looked at her. "I guess so, why do you care, Ginger?" I asked. "It's Kendo! And I think I have an answer now. I think ghosts just haunt people they have a connection with. You said ghosts follow murderers, which... wait, did you kill anyone?" "No, you ginger loser! I mean... not really... he... it's complicated," I answered, glancing at Deku, who was observing the half and half bastard and the round faced girl. "Well, you must've had some kind of connection with whoever it was if he's haunting you. My ghost is my sister, so we're connected by blood," she said. The back and forth asking of questions went until we were still a ways from USJ, when toad girl and short circuit tried to insult me.
Once we got to the area, the astronaut hero talked to us and explained that USJ actually meant "Unforseen Simulation Joint". After some training, some weird extras showed up, and we were informed they were villains. I went to attack one of them and so did the weird haired guy, and he used some portal Quirk to warp us away.
I ended up with Weird Hair and Ginger in some remote area where villains were swarming us. Ginger used her huge hands to punch them away and block them while i exploded them and Weird Hair slashed through them. "Hey, the three of us make a good team!" he said, high-fiving Ginger and reaching out a hand to me. I ignored him. Soon we ended up back with everyone else, where All Might was fighting some weird creature with its brain sticking out. He eventually defeated it and we all left the simulator, letting the police handle the injured teachers.
"Hey, why'd you ignore the redhead guy? Don't you want to make friends?" Deku asked me once I was back home. "I'm not here to make friends, Deku, you nerd. I'm just here to become number one," I told him. He shrugged and floated off somewhere.
The next day Aizawa started to inform us about the UA sports festival. The whole class seemed pumped. Even Deku was jumping up and down excitedly. "Kacchan, you've gotta get ready for the sports festival! Which such an amazing Quirk like yours, it'll be hard to beat!" He continued rambling while Aizawa explained the rest of the event.
