Disclaimer: The first short and unfinished story contains a slight talk about divorce. You may skip it if the thought of divorce makes you queasy.
1. Owl City, Chapter one, Moving Day
It all started when my mom and dad divorced. I was stuck with my mom and my brother was stuck with my dad. So my dad and brother dicidid to stay home in our town Rose Town. So me and my mom had to move to another town so my mom went online and found a house that was perfect so we paked our bags and went to the house.
Ok, I wrote this when I was five. FIVE!! ZINC YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE WORRYING ABOUT MY LITTLE PONY OR SOME SHIT LIKE THAT, NOT DIVORCE! But seriously, I may actually make this a short story sometime. Y'know. Edit it, add some stuff, make it a bit more interesting. It doesn't even have anything to do with owls either (yet)
2. A lovely day at the beach.Once upon A Time I was At the beach Relaxing.
I found a Mermaid. Then a storm came Iwas scared to death!
Then my mom and dad Left me on the Beach.WTF is it with 5-year-old me and 1. writing loads 2. LOSING A PARENT OR TWO and 3. NEGLEGTANT PARENTS. UH, DID SOME HORRIFYING SHIT HAPPEN WHEN I WAS 5 THAT I DON'T REMEMBER ABOUT??!?!?!?!?
3. Oh god my poem phase
The following poems were written by 5th grade me. I was proud of them at the time (and so was my teacher apparently) but now I look back and THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. SOME OF THEM AREN'T EVEN RHYMING WITH EACH OTHER. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, 5TH GRADE ME!?!?
The Water Is Out
The water is out
It must be a drought
The rain has stopped
Not a single drop has dropped
Not one puddle on the road
No flower popping up to be mowed
The lakes dried up
With no home for the fish and frogs
All of this happened because the water was out.
There Was A Dog
There was a dog
He lived in a bog
There was always fog
He was living with a frog
He named him log
There was a dog
Flowers
Flowers,
Beautiful like a swan.
Delicate,
Like a butterfly's wings.
Caring,
Like a mother taking care of her children.
Respectful,
Like a teacher listening to each of the student's questions.
All of these dancing around my room finding each other.City Skyline
The city skyline
Like you are on top of the world
The highest skyscraper reaching all the way to space.
It is like all of them are made of clay
It is like you are controlling it
The city skyline.
Winter
Winter, calm but furious.
The wind, silent but deadly
Myself, inside the house.
My family cradled around me with a blanket reading a chapter of my favorite book.
Outside it is cold and deadly
But with me inside, I am safe.Spring
Spring,
beautiful like a swan.
Lovely,
Like a child giving her mom a rose
Bees buzz, butterflies spring back to life
The world no longer cold but warm inside.Summer
Summer, calming like a day at the beach.
Everything calm until the hurricanes come bursting through like a house fire, spreading rapidly in the evening sky (uhhhh are you ok 5th grade me...that escalated quickly)
But me in my closet with a flashlight, praying that I am going to be alright. But at the end I am safe.
(ok, a few notes on this. First of all, zinc you don't have a closet in your room, and dad's closet is full of clothes. Second off, you don't know how to pray.<-- I'll put an authors note at the end of this explaining that)
Autum (yes I spelled it wrong)
Autum, otherwise known as fall.
Cold and beautiful like frost on the grass, burning in the autum sun.
The fly, flying in not invited to the party in your throat. Causing you sickness.
But most kids have to take flu shots.
So then, we are safe.Alligator
Alligator,
Flesh ripping, bone breaking killer (WHAT??!?!?)
Stay away from the water of you'll get pulled under.
Get some duct tape, get some glue,
Now you're safe from the Zoo.That's it for the poems, I have a few things to say. "Alligator" is terrifying, "Autum" has no point to it, "Summer" escalated quickly, and I had serious issues. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
vvv Ok, now for that authors note that I promised in "Summer" vvv
So, this was the day I had to pray for the inauguration with my 5th-grade class(which we were watching in class, a prayer came up during one of the speeches and most kids started praying since the majority of the class was Christan) and I didn't know how to so I just sat there awkwardly chewing on my bread, maintaining eye contact with the teacher. It was the most awkward thing I've ever done and that's the tea, sis. That's it. That's the story.
Ok, these were the stories from two of my notebooks, I'm running out of these stupid funny things. Have a nice day.
