"Jisoo!" Jisoo heard behind her back.
She was walking fast and wasn't going to turn around and look at the girl calling her name. She was mad at her mom. How could she do this to her? Jisoo thought maybe she said too much.
"Wait!" She heard again.
Jisoo turned around. She looked miserably. You could see tears in her big eyes.
"What do you want?" She asked.
Jennie went to her almost running.
"You're- you're crying?" She was little surprised, but quickly hugged her.
"What happened?" Jennie took Jisoo's head with her hands and looked in her eyes. "What were you talking about? Do you want to talk about this?" She hugged her again. Seeing her stepsister in this state made her heart break into pieces.
Jisoo sniffed. She shook her head. "I don't want to."
"That's okay." Jennie squeezed Jisoo's hand. "Where you were going?" She asked. Younger girl wanted to break her away from bad thoughts.
"Uh, honestly I don't know." Jisoo answered still sniffing. She looked around.
"Let's go to shopping mall. This will make you feel better." Jennie sent her small smile. At this moment she couldn't think about better place.
"Alright." Jisoo took Jennie's small hand. She wanted to cry so bad, but Jennie's company stopped her from it. She didn't wanted to worry Jennie more.
It was her first time seeing Jennie all calm and caring. She even liked this Jennie more than the cold, grim girl she was at school.
They entered the shop.
"Where do we start?"
°°°
"Oh my god, we bought so much clothes!" Jisoo said looking at all theirs bags.
"Nahh, not that much." Jennie sipped her coffee.
After almost 4 hours of shopping they went to café for a break.
Jisoo made big eyes. "Not that much? Girl do you hear yourself."
Jennie giggled.
"Ah, you know what? I want to talk about it." Jisoo said.
"About what?" Jennie forgot why they're here.
"You know, what happened today..."
"Oh, yes, sorry." Jennie sat straight in her seat and looked at Jisoo.
"Uh, I don't want to talk much about it. It's hard for me.." Jisoo started.
"I'm sure you don't know this, but I had a older brother. His name was Wooyoung. He was the best brother in the world. Caring, funny, protective... Maybe even overprotective." Jisoo laughed softly at her memories.
"I was seven, he was seventeen. He took part in the competition. The rules was to visit as many countries as possible in two months. He was doing great, after one week he visited five or six countries, I don't remember. He was so happy, even then he didn't forget about me. He was sending me postcards and he wrote how much he misses me... After a month of his journey we got news. The plane he was in... it... it sank in the ocean." Jisoo took a deep breath trying not to cry.
Jennie instantly took her hand and started to stroke it.
"And after that... We moved out to a completely different city. As you can see my mom want to erase it from our lives. It was such a shocking experience and now she acts like it never happened. She want to do the exact same thing he did.
What if I lose her too? I have no one else." At this point Jisoo started crying.Jennie sat next to her.
"Shh... calm down." She hugged Jisoo. "You have me and don't forget your mom is grown woman who is strong and responsible. You can't live past. Focus on what's now and you'll see the light in this dark world." She looked in her eyes. She saw something that scared her. Pure love and adoration.
She decided it would be better to ignore it and wiped Jisoo's tears.
"Now let's go home. We can watch movie or do something you like. Just don't be sad anymore." She smiled.
Now, Jisoo just saw Jennie, she ignored everyone else in the shop and just focused on her. Maybe if she payed attention more she would saw a girl watching them from the distance.
Jennie took out her phone and called Uber.
