My favorite part of the day was in the morning. It's where Dad would make pancakes, and would always put one in my dog bowl if it was empty. So I woke up and Simone was gone. I knew I slept through breakfast because I couldn't smell the stove.

But Simone was just here, so I looked out the window to see outside.  A big yellow truck pulled up by our driveway as Simone walked into it.  I barked, fearing that Simone was going to get hurt on that bus.

I barked as John walked into the same big yellow truck. Then I ran downstairs toward the door and barked at it and scratched it, hopefully they would come back for me. Then Dad came towards me and I barked at him, signaling for me to go chase the yellow truck so I would save them. But Dad didn't look worried, he must not have known where Simone and John went.

Then Duke ran up to me and barked at me, probably trying to get me quiet. And I did get quiet. Since Dad and Duke wasn't worried, I didn't worry. This happened for four more days and they didn't come back till seven hours later. I was whimpering all day when they did disappear, I missed my girl.

Finally they didn't do it anymore for two days. I loved it. I had Simone all to myself because Duke had to go to the vet and stay there. Two months passed, and I was full grown now, I think. I was big. I looked like a husky, and Simone started to take me on walks around the block. And at the end of every walk, she would give me refreshing ice water.

I loved Simone. And I vowed to protect her. John went to go live somewhere else and Dad and Simone talked to John about someone named mom. I guess John went to live with someone named mom. I was very sad when he left; I missed him. I usually slept in his empty room sometimes.

A year later Simone went into high school and I had to wear a vest.  I went to school with her and people called me a service dog.  I felt like I had a purpose and this was my purpose.  Sometimes, I fetched an orange and white little bottle for Simone.  Other times, I lay with her, and kept her calm.  My girl loved me, and I loved her.
