Alice Bright had never been a particularly peculiar or special girl, although she wasn't exactly normal either. She lived alone with her mother for several years after her father and older sister died, ever since their gruesome deaths, Alice has been plagued with nightmarish thoughts and dreams. They all centre around the same brown eyed boy with the swirling red dragon tattoo around his neck. The dreams usually consist of the boy being beaten or in some cases killed. Alice knew she had never seen the handsome face, so often scrunched in pain before. Though whenever she thought about it a quiet memory made itself known again. A young boy, no more than the tender age of nine looked down upon her. She was covered with bricks and wooden posts. If the memory served to be true Alice was six at the time, and dying.

The young boys steely gaze that pierced through the heavy debris forced her to look upon his tan face, which was covered in cuts and bruises that were already beginning to show. He had begun to pull the bloodied rubble from her tattered and twisted body. He worked in deafening silence, though the world around them was falling apart, screams sounded and sirens wailed, it seemed that the two children were alone in the world. Communicating some how in silence.

The pain she had experienced was barely memorable, just the smell of rancid blood and the sound of bones breaking and screams in the distance remained swirling around her head and the taste of metal on her tongue. Once her body was free, the boy seemed to vanish with a flurry of footsteps, but in his place there was a necklace and her mother whose suddenly haggard face was tortured and white. Though hidden behind her comforting presence in the stirred up dust and smoke was something bigger than the girl in the rubble. Bigger than anything the world has ever seen.
