Seokjin sat on the couch of his and Namjoon's shared house with anxiety and fatigue. It's three o clock in the morning and he was still waiting for his husband; who's shift was supposed to end at midnight. This is the fourth time this week. He was beginning to grow tired of this new pattern. With a sharp breath, he took a sip of his jasmine tea, using that to give him the energy to stand up. He looked at the clock, that ticked mockingly on the wall across from him; the gears of the clock starred back at him with seductive eyes, they whispered about what Namjoon was doing out so late.
His stomach churned with disgust at the thought. He couldn't wait any longer so he grabbed his robe and his keys going on a late night search of the local pubs. He drove around the streets till he pulled up to the bar he knew Namjoon went to the most. He pulled onto the street and got out with quick steps to get inside and out of the cold as fast as possible. He looked around the bar with wide eyes as he watched skimpy waitresses over-serve customers. The entire place reeked of cigar smoke that was so thick it made him feel like his lunges were filled with tar. He felt very out of place in his baby pink silk night set and his pink fuzzy robe, men were wearing thick leather biker jackets or expensive suits. He felt the hard judgmental stares of bearded men as he looked around for Namjoon letting out a frustrated sigh when he didn't see him. This was dangerous. He was a gazelle in a lake full of alligators and he needed escape now, but he also needed to find his husband. With a puff on air he wrapped his robe around himself a little tighter and approached the bartender who was pouring a drink for a particularly big alligator.
"Excuse me ma'am" he said softly and insecurely. She turned her snake eyed toward him with a raised Lil of offense before her lips smirked softly. "What can I get for you pretty boy, sex on the beach or coke with rum," she and the alligator giggled at her snide joke. "No thank you but I do appreciate the offer I've had a rough night. I'm looking for my husband, if you could help me." The snake stopped pouring and set her mixer down putting her hands on the bar, "I see lots of men every night. Who's to say I will remember them?" She said, Jin replies with a nodded. "I think my husband is quite handsome, you might remember him if I show you a picture." he said pitifully and a bit panicked.
The snake shot the alligator a look before sighing, throwing a clawed hand out. "I'm gonna need a good tip I'm not a babysitter" she smirked with that Jin nodded quickly reaching for his wallet giving her fifty dollars. "Here." he said softly and handed her his phone with a picture of Namjoon and himself on their wedding day.
"Oh Namjoon. Yeah he was here but he left a little bit before you got here." She said and Jin smiled, nodding thankfully. He rushed to get away from the bar but stopped and turned around slowly "Did he-did he leave alone?" he asked and the wicked snake smirked. "He left 'alone'." She agreed slimly, Jin smiled appreciatively before turning back around to leave, and that's when she spoke the rest of her sentence with a wicked tone "Tonight that is."
Jin stiffened and his heart dropped. He knew if he turned around, the snake would be smiling at him with her razor sharp tongue and slit eyes. Knowing he could look back he ran to his car with agile steps as he pushed himself through a pack of alligators that growled hungrily at him. He ignored the snarls and fumbled with his keys for a bit before hurrying to get the door open. He locked the doors of his car and put his forehead on the steering wheel. His eyes burned with tears and he didn't know if it was from the cold air or because of what the bartender said. Whatever caused it the tears wouldn't stop. He sniffed as he started his car and drove home. He sobbed when he saw Namjoon's car parked in a crooked line in the driveway. He waited until he got himself together before heading inside to find his cheater of husband passed out on the couch.
