A Teenager's guide in walking with God

I have sinned

His love is all I need. There's nothing better in my mind than to sit down and talk to him. Most of the time. See there are times in our lives that we drift away from the Lord. Even if we don't mean to do it, it happens to the best of us. Even the pastors preaching in the churches, your parents talking about the importance of his love, even the people you would never expect it from, does it. You're probably wondering, "why am I reading this? How did I come across this?" I will tell you how. Because God wanted it to be, so it was to be. I would love to think that I am this perfect, sinless, angel like, christian. But I am the opposite. You see I have lied, I have cheated, I have hated, I have committed sin. I know that I am not the perfect christian. I'm far from it. I have accepted this fact, the fact that I am not pure when it comes to all sin. Because God made me this way, in a way that even though I was created in his image, I am not perfect.

After all this talk about me not being perfect and admitting I have sinned, you may be wondering why I am so happy about not being perfect. How do I know I am going to heaven because I have sinned? Well you see I know of this really cool dude named Jesus. He is God's one and only son and he died for me. He died for me so I can have eternal life. I find that extremely awesome. Not only did he die, he suffered great pain and torture. he was whipped, stoned, shamed, punished, and he even was hung on a cross with nails in him, yet he never spoke badly of his father. The one who let his only child suffer through the pain and punishment, he never spoke badly. He did all for one thing. Us. The men and woman on this earth. So that we can live our lives without fear of messing up and sinning. Because we are humans and we are not perfect.

You see after all this pain that Jesus went through so we can live without fear of messing up, there are still people living in sin. Some of them are scared of the truth, some are in doubt of the truth that is the lord, and there are some who sadly have yet to hear the word of god. This is what I fear is the truth for most of the world. That they have yet to hear the truth that is gods word. The one I hope is not true but most of the time is, that they have heard the word, but denied it. They have heard the word that so many others can not, but yet they push it away. Weather it's because something has happened to them, hard times have struck, or they just listen with their ears and not their hearts. There are many bible verses I could quote right now about this, but for the sake of everyone, I will only use two. The first one is John 3:36 "Who ever believes in the Son has eternal life, but who ever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath will remain on them." This is talking about who ever believes in him will live for ever in his love, but if not you will have no peace in life. Another one I would like to talk about  is  Romans 8:6. "The mind of a sinful man is death, but one controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." Meaning that those who live their life not to God are dead to the many possibilities. You see life is such a short thing compared to forever. I life on Earth is just a short time compared to what happens afterwards. So what would you rather have, life and happiness? Or death and pain.

I know that we all sinned. That I know is hard to admit for some. But that is not the hardest part. The hardest part is weather or not we are willing to except that none of us are perfect and that we all make mistakes, and that we ask God to for give us. You see we all have sinned and knows that, but he doesn't care he still loves us. You may be asking, "If God loves me so much, why has he given me so much pain? Why has he let my parents split up, or let others bully me, or given me this problem he has given me? If he loves me so much, why does he let us suffer?" Because,he wants us to put our weight on him. When you become physically weaker, we become spiritual stronger. He has healed people, people in worst situation than you, and he has healed them. If he has healed them, he can heal you.

This has probably been all over the place. And I am sorry about that. But I guess the message i have for you today is this. That even though we have sinned. Even though we have made mistakes. Some may be small, some may be big, it doesn't matter. God loves us all them same. You may be weak in the eyes of man, but in the eyes of the Lord, you are the strongest person that has walked the Earth. Because you have the one true God by your side, and in the end that is all that matters, right? But if for some reason you are not walking with God, I urge you to. You don't have to be super public about, but if you are ready to except Jesus into your heart, say this prayer and meant it in your heart. Say "Lord Jesus, I repent the life I have lead. Come into my heart Lord, I except you as my Lord and Savior. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness, teach me your ways and remember me in the Lambs book of Life."  Now if you really meant that with all your heart, congrats, you have Jesus in your life.
