I just woke up I hear my moms boyfriend, Troy, start up that old rickety truck and pull out of the driveway. I smell bacon and eggs and I hear the sound of grease popping and mom running around and trying to double task and get dressed for work. It's a few minutes after 7 I pull on my clothes and head downstairs and sat in front of a plate filled with food."What the hell do you think you're doing?!" My mom yelled. I'm eating breakfast I said in a calm voice I think that really made her mad because she reached out and slapped me right in the face. In disbelief I sat there and rubbed my face until she slammed the door to leave by that time, I had missed the bus so i walked a mile and a half to school. By the time I got to school I had missed first core with Ms.Terascotto . Later on in the school day Ms.Smith, the vice principal called me to her office on the on the Intercom. When I finally got to her office she asked me why I had been late I knew that if I told her what actually happened my mom would tear me a new one worse than the time I tried to eat real human food rather than the dog food she poured in a dogs bowl. So instead I lie, and say I had a doctors appointment knowing that my mom hasn't took me to the doctor in years. At lunch I sat with Brandon and Thomas we talked about the good days old days randy still lived here Thomas,Brandon,and randy and me used to go to the O'l sandlot and play baseball for hours and hours until all of us were too tired to run anymore. One day randy pitched the ball so hard that I thought it was gonna hit me so, I ducked,and it busted my moms car window. That night she beat me with a extension cord so hard I bled for days,but I didn't care that she did that It still was the best day of my life.
