It was the first day of the Fall Semester. I am a GRADUATING Senior at the one and only Clark Atlanta University.

I woke up around 9AM and started the shower. I went about doing my hygiene and my hair. I laid my edges put wand curls into my weave. I threw on a white tank top, ripped black jeans, and put on my Concords. I applied lip gloss and mascara before taking a look into the mirror. I grabbed my burgundy Victoria's Secret PINK backpack and sprayed myself with some "Pretty As A Peach" Bath and Body Works perfume.

I had a 10AM Juvenile Delinquency class with my roommate and best friend, Sky. We shared an apartment style dorm.

I knocked on her bedroom door.

"Sky! You ready? It's 9:45" I said as I knocked on the door.

She opened her room door. She stood at the door staring at me blankly. She wasn't dressed and still had her bonnet on.

"Bitch! We're gonna be late!" I said looking at her.

"Give me just like 5 minutes! It's the first day, the professor won't care about us being late anyways" Sky said rolling her eyes. I chuckled and walked back to my room to grab a Poptart.

10 minutes later, Sky came out her room. "I'm ready!"

"Finally bitch!" I said laughing.

Sky had a white tube top with dark blue denim jeans. She wore her Platinum Jordan 11's. Her hair was in a messy curly bun. She threw her Louis Vuitton over her shoulder and headed for the front door.

We made it to class just 4 minutes late, to find that our professor hadn't arrived yet. We took our seats in the back of the classroom.

Sky nudged me, "I told yo bitch ass the professor wouldn't care. Hell, she ain't even here yet!" Sky said laughing. "Bitch, shut up" I said laughing.

A few minutes later, our Professor, Ms. Johnson entered the classroom. She was a personal favorite of mine. She operated as my advisor and taught several of the classes required for my major, Criminal Justice.

"Sorry I'm late" Ms. Johnson said passing out the syllabus. "For those of you that don't know me, I'm Ms. Johnson, or the bitch your momma told you about!" The majority of the classroom laughed.

Juvenile Delinquency was an upper level Criminal Justice course, and for most of us, we had Ms. Johnson before. Ms. Johnson is a savage ass professor. She had numerous jobs in the Criminal Justice field when she was younger. She worked as a detective, parole officer, paralegal, and as a correctional officer. She's been shot at and placed in dangerous situations. Ms. Johnson was that one white professor that all the students loved. She was down to earth, easy to talk to, and fought hard for her students. You couldn't tell Ms. Johnson that she wasn't black. She was the perfect professor to have at a Historically Black University.
