Chapter Thirty-Six: Decision to follow the figure

It was an argument on whether or not to follow the figure, but we all finally agreed to go follow the figure. We head east where the figure was walking to. We found traces of blood on the floor leading to the fourth floor. We headed up the stairs to the fourth floor. Guards stopped us in our tracks. It wasn't hard to take them down though.

"He must be over here then. These guards are here to distract us, so Kimblee has time to get out of here. We have to hurry," Lily said.

We found stairs to the the roof. It was blocked by trick locks. We took a closer look at it. There were five of them.

"Five trick locks with a hundred different types of combinations within it. It's going to take a while to unlock all five," Ariana said. "These came from Oskax."

"Oskax trick locks will take more than a hour to complete. It would mostly take a day or two." President Boyd said.

"Does anyone know how to unlock them?" I asked.

"I can try but it's going to take a while like the president said," Lily said.

"I'll help, I guess, I don't know much but I'll try," Ariana said.

They went to work trying every combination there is.

"Hey can't you just use that bionic eye of your and unlock all of these. "

"I can, but I still have to manually unlock it. Why exactly are you helping with the locks?" I asked.

"No real reason. I know about these locks so it might not take a lot of time."

"Well thanks for the help. This shouldn't take that long then!" I said.

"Yeah right! Knowing you it's still going to take a long time!" Ariana laughed.

We laughed. We started to get the locks unlocked. One after another they were all unlocked and there was only the chain let on it. I broke it with my arm blade and swinged the door open. We head up to the roof. It was night outside. We took a break. I sat down at the edge of the roof and looked out to the city. Some fresh air for once. Ariana came to sit next to me after Yovany, Joselyn, Niko followed.

"It feels nice to be able to feel the night breeze for a while without having to worry about Kimblee coming for us," I said, closing my eyes.

"Yeah it does... It feels nice to be together again..." Niko said.

We sat there for a while. Until Fuhrer Hayato broke our constratation. We check around the area. We couldn't see anyone or hear anyone. We all head back down and continued looking for Kimblee. The loudspeaker turned on.

"Hello."

We stopped in our tracks and looked around the hall.

"Why are you looking around when you should be looking down," It said.

Trap downs opened at the bottom of our feet. I grabbed the wire that hanged off the wall. The door shut on us. I looked to the bottom, there was a flat ground at the bottom. I climbed up to the trap door. I ejected my blade. It didn't even scratch it.

"The only way out is down..." I said.

I slide down and swinged over to the right. Solid ground. I walked around and found light coming down a hole. I ran over to it. There were spikes on the ground. I looked up to the light.

"Who's up there?" I asked.

"Who else could it be?! Obviously Fuhrer Hayato!"

Damn... I'm going to be stuck with her for a long time then. I set up my shield on the spikes. I walked up on top on it. I took a look at the trap she was in. It caught her foot. I sent in a small machine to take her foot out. It loosen the trap and I grabbed her and jumped off the shield. I set her down on the ground and grabbed my shield.

"Is it just you?" She asked.

"Just me. I didn't really have must of a challenges getting out of mine. We have to find everyone else," I said. "Follow me."

We walked to the next light. The walls were tight we could barely walk through it. We reach the next light and shield the bottom of it.

"Hey... you hanging in there?"

"Real funny, Lily..." Yovany said, hanging by his arm. "No but seriously, I'm going to need some assistance here."

His arm was clamp by metal. I sent my bug to help him get out of the metal clamp. He fell down and he fell on his back.

"At least you could have caught me," He said.

"I didn't make it in time."

"Really now..." He said getting up.

I smiled and told him to follow us. We went and got everyone out of there trappes.

"We need a way out of here," Ariana said.

"But where..?" Ethan asked.

I looked up. I haven't looked up at any of these trap doors. Maybe they can be broken off.

"I'm going to check the trap door on top. I might be able to break them," I said.

I climbed up the wall and check the trap door we were next to. I took my blade and slice the door. Nothing happened. I came back down and we tried the next on until we could open it. I found on take I was able to cut through. I helped everyone up. I took out my map and looked to see if Kimblee was on it. It didn't show him there. The bugs were gone.

"Nothing?" Yovany asked.

"Yeah... Nothing. My bugs are gone now. We just have to look for him manually," I said.

"We can cover more ground if we split up," General Boyd suggested.

"No if we split up, it would be easier for Kimblee to capture us. We shouldn't split up!" Ariana said.
