When Sun and Ash arrived, they wrote their codenames on index cards and handed them to an announcer to announce their presence, one of the things that was a must for this(for whatever reason).  But first, he had to announce two other people.

"Sir Pika(Chase) and Lady E(Elaine)," the announcer spoke, announcing the arrival of the two best friends.

Then it was time for Ash and Sun.

"Mr. S and Prince Satoshi." The two walked down the stairs into the ballroom(which was actually just the gym decorated to look like a ballroom).

"How did you think of such a cool codename?" Sun whispered.

"I should be asking the same thing to you. Mr. S is so cool," Ash responded.

"Thanks," Sun said before they split up, Ash going to the buffet and Sun just walking around and being asked by girls to ask them to dance with him. Pretty awkward situation.

"The Lady Felice and the Edgelord," the announcer spoke, revealing the arrival of Lillie and Gladion. Sun and Hau both fell over laughing when they heard Edgelord.

"How do you talk me into these things?" Gladion asked his sister.

"Shut up and find a dance partner," Lillie said, leaving him to suffer.

Meanwhile, Moon was outside, following Lillie's instructions to wait for about 10 minutes. Moon didn't know why though...

She was holding a fancy card with her codename on it. She hoped it was a good one... her shadow DID help her a lot when thinking of it, so...

About 10 minutes later, Moon entered the building and turned in her card. The announcer was surprised about the unusual and unique card he was handed, as well as the gold-colored ink that read her codename.

"The Princess Selene," he announced. Since she was the first person to be announced alone that day, a couple people turned their heads and stared. Moon felt a little awkward as she walked down the stairs. She was holding onto the railing so she wouldn't fall.

Ash was looking around the room for some things to do when he heard a single name announced over the PA system. He looked and saw the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. She stood out from the other girls at the dance. Her hair was short and dark like the night sky, her eyes were a soft gray like the clouds that the Moon shone through at night, and her dress was glittering like the moon. She had a beautiful nighttime theme about her, and the flower pin in her hair had the matching colors to her dress and her light lavender crescent-shaped bow that was on her dress. He went up to her and held out his hand.

"May I have this dance?"

The response was short and sweet. Gentle and kind.

"Yes. You may."
