How is that even possible? I thought to myself, glancing around the room frantically. This isn't normal! Everything has always been the same! How does it just change? My mind was racing and I felt as if I was stuck in a loop. An endless loop of dancing shadows, glowing red light, and my own mind. No.... no! No! No! No! No! Things can't just change! They've always been this way! What am I supposed to do when this happens? There are no rules for what to do if the moon turns red! I stopped in my tracks. "There are no rules........ THERE ARE NO RULES! No boundaries, no restrictions! NO RULES! Maybe there is more out there than this island! This god-forsaken island! More than this cursed town! More than that lonely closet next to the boiler room! Maybe I can-" But I was cut short from my squeals of joy by the sharp pang of something smacking back of my head.
The floor was spinning towards me, the dancing shadows now still. The moon's silver tongues of light peering through the window and onto my face before the lights faded out and the world faded to black, leaving the still shadows frozen on the walls
