Dreams pov : 

Dream : Maybe it wasn't his fault.

Well I guess it wasn't anybody's fault. I guess Nightmare didn't ask to be saved by her. Oh man I'm a horrible brother.

FLASH BACK

Dream : Mom! Nightmares still in there!

Villagers were attacking Nightmare, Dream, and their mothers house after Nightmare pretty much pissed them all off. The villagers decided that Nightmare needed to be punished and were burning his house down. But the unaware villagers didn't know that Dream and their mother were there. Dream and his mother barely escaped but Nightmare didn't. Their Mother looked towards Dream and smiled.

Mom : Dream...

Dream : yes mom.

Mom : Take care of your brother.

Dream : Mom NO!!!!

Dream and Nightmares mother ran back into the burning house Dream would have run in but he knew it would be no use of them all dying. Nightmare and Dream's mother came back out of the house with a few burn marks Nightmare unconscious in her arms. She laid Nightmare down on the grown and soon passed out as well. Dream had tears in his eyes. Some of the villagers saw Nightmare and their mother on the ground and started pushing Dream out of the way. The villagers took Nightmare and their mother someplace to heal them leaving Dream on the ground some places on him were either burned or cut with tears streaming sown his face. Villagers then came and helped Dream up and took him to be healed. Nightmare soon woke up and when he did he immediately went to check on his brother and mom. His brother was ok but his mom was in bad condition. Nightmare began crying and sobbing occasionally whispering sorry's and its my fault. Soon villagers started walking towards him.

Villager : Why are you crying!?! This is your fault!!!

Ass hole Villager:  Yeah you didn't even try to save her!!!

Villager Bitch : I bet you wanted her to die!!!

Other Villager : We don't even need you!!! You could've given your life!!!

Nightmare couldn't take all the pressure. There was a large voice in his head saying to just to make them shut up for good but he knew doing that wouldn't have made anything better. He quickly ran towards the forest to keep himself from doing something he knew he would regret. After that Dream woke up and heard the news. He visited her room to see that her monitor wasn't beeping doctors rushed in and a nurse was trying to take Dream back to his room. The bad news spread quickly and that's when Dream thought.

Dream : It's his fault.

END OF BACK STORY

Dream looked up his mind blank. He couldn't believe he was so ignorant. She was Nightmares mom to. Nightmare wasn't the one who asked those people to his family. He just made a stupid mistake it shouldn't cost a life. That's when Dream thought about Nightmare. All that his brother had  done was starting to make him laugh. All the pranks he used to pull made him seem like a child. As soon as he was thinking of a way to apologize to Nightmare there was a knock on the door.

Ink : Hey Dream someone is here to see ya.

As soon as Nightmare heard that their was a loud screech

Nightmare : BROTHER!!!!
