"No cheating!" I shouted at Tony. We were playing Foosball. I don't even know how Tony even managed to cheat in a game so simple. I watched as the ball rolled into the goal and Tony grinned.
"Beat you again."
I rolled my eyes and walked over to the window. I was staring into space (literally). After the incident, Tony had managed to fix up what he could of Quill's ship, the Milano. We've been in space for at least 2 days now. Who knows how far we are from any sort of civilization.
I fell back into a chair and let out a loud cough. We were all pretty thin except for Nebula. Food had run out yesterday. Water ran out this morning, and oxygen? Well, that runs out tomorrow morning. Tony and I werent doing too well. We were both sick and thin. You could see a barely visible outline of our cheekbones.
I really wanted to go home. But this would soon become my tomb. I just wanted to know that Liz was ok. That everyone else had somehow managed to survive.
Tony grabbed his broken up helmet and leaned it against the wall. He sat against a chair and turned the helmet on. It appeared that he was recording some sort of video for whoever."Uh.. Hey Mrs. Potts. I just wanted to you let you know, I'm fine. Sort of. I'm currently stuck in space on a ship called The Milano. I'm here with McKenna, so you can tell Liz she survived, and some robot chick named Nebula. Conditions.. Critical. Water ran out this morning. Food, yesterday. Tomorrow, Oxygen. But hey.. If by some small chance we survive.. Don't worry. Love you. And in the morning, as I take my final breath.. I'll be thinking of you. It's always you.." He smiled, blew a kiss at the helmet, and shut it off. Then he turned to look at me.
"Wanna say anything?" He asked.
I shrugged. I longed to let Liz know I'm ok. I wanted to apologize to her for scaring the shit out of her.. I looked like shit. But I decided to do it. Tony set the helmet in front of me and turned it on.
"Hey.. Liz.. Whoever's watching.. I just wanted to say.. I'm alive.. But in space. And starving. And thirsty. But that isnt important. Liz.. If you're watching, I want you to know, I'm sorry for flying off into space. I'm sorry that I scared the shit out of you. I know you're probably scared.. But don't be.. When oxygen runs out in the morning.. I'll be thinking of you.." I stopped a moment and looked down. I so badly wanted to admit my feelings for Steve. But I decided against it. "Love you big sis.. And to the others.. You too.. You guys are my family.."
Tony reached over and turned the helmet off, noticing I was done. And then he noticed my crying. He hugged me weakly. I knew that we weren't gonna make it. But I wasn't ready..
