It's already been a week since his last absence.

She was so worried what happened to him, she tried contacting him for the past 3 days but he never made an effort to reply. She finally decided to call her, fear felt like it was eating her alive but good thing she took all of her strength to press call.

It took him three rings to answer.

His voice sounded restless, the kind of voice she wasn't used to.

"Are you alright?" She asked, but clearly he wasn't.

"No." He answered truthfully, "Can you come over?" His voice begins to shake. He's been crying for a while now, she can tell. "I'll be there, I promise."

She took a quick trip to the convenience store to buy things that could cheer him up a bit more. She went with ice cream because he once told her that ice cream makes everything better.

She hopes so.

"4th floor please" She asked the lady who was already inside the elevator.

It also took him three knocks to answer the door. He stood with a depressing expression on his face. As soon as the door was opened enough to let her in, He immediately ran to her and hugged her in the halls.
