What if you forgot everything?...
If your name, your home and your past all becoming a distance blur - only providing you with a fuzzy blank in your mind.
For Lucy Heartfilia, this was her new reality after taking on a very dangerous S-class job.
I groggily walked down stairs to be greeted with a table full of delicious looking food, still half-sleep, it took me a while to register Natsu's soft smile. Before long, I smiled back and he greeted me good morning, as did I.
"You really went all out, huh?" I giggled, sitting down at the table.
Content with his lovely grin and equally lovely breakfast, he quickly nodded, "well today is a big day! Our S-class quest is only hours away".
I gazed out of the kitchen window from my seat and admired the blazing sun - today was for sure a great day to do a mission, and more importantly a perfect day to spend with my husband, I looked down and the gold ring on my finger and the scene of the wedding flashed through my mind for a while. That day was the best day of my life, I can remember it as if it was just yesterday.
All of a sudden, my pink-haired husband snapped me out of my peaceful thoughts by waving in front of my face, I laughed in response and he kissed me, feathering my cheeks with a tint of red. I kissed him back as Happy walked in, "They loveeeee each other~" He cooed, giggling. I turned around, "shush you silly cat!" Natsu then began to laugh, until me, him and Happy all ended in a fit of laughter. I stood up and grasped Natsu's hand, leading him outside of our house. Our house was the very house that Natsu and Happy lived at, after me and him got married, I moved in with them and thus we live in this nice cottage surrounded by trees upon trees - much better scenery than my apartment or even my childhood mansion in which I grew to hate.
Still dragging a certain pink haired boy, I eventually ended up at the guild; Scanning the board, I saw the S-class mission.
'HELP WANTED: Bounty for 'Kenbōshō', a man with very dangerous powers that would bring eternal despair. Hunt him down at the Magnolia Masquerade for the reward.'
"Sounds..." Happy paused for a moment, "Kind of dangerous Natsu"
Natsu shook his head, "It's gonna be a piece of cake" he retorted as I twiddled with my fingers, nervously thinking of the worst case scenario. Natsu placed a hand on my head and gently kissed my forehead in front of everyone in the guild, they all went crazy - including Levy of course as she nearly screamed. At this point, I went more red than a tomato but before anything, Levy interlocked her arm into mine and declared that we had to go shopping for a masquerade costume.
"C'mon Lu-chan~!" She delightfully cheered, Natsu and Happy simply followed behind us.

A few dresses that took my fancy were hung up in my changing room. The first was a blue dress with a thigh slit matched with some crystal blue heels that shimmered white in the lighting, I stepped out of the stall and showed my best friend, husband and Happy. Levy shook her head, "It's nice, but not nice enough"
"I think she looks great in anything" Natsu stated, looking me up and down.
I looked in the mirrors surrounding me and gave a twirl, sure it was nice but really not me, so I went to try on the next. However, the rest of the dresses were just the same and nothing really stood out to me, that was until I saw the beautiful pink dress in the reflection of the mirror. With a sweetheart neckline, the dark pink bodice of the dress complimented the lower pastel pink skirt piece of the dress, lace trim decorated the front of the dress and lead up to a beautiful rose below my neck, finally a white bow hung around my waist and I instantly knew this dress was perfect for the mission.
Natsu and Levy were gobsmacked as Happy smiled, "You actually look like a girl" he laughed and I laughed too as I was too happy to be mad at him, "Beautiful" Levy and Natsu said simultaneously.
After buying the dress and picking out some matching pink high heels, I bought a pastel pink mask to hide my identity and just before I finished up in the shop, Levy handed me some gloves, "Can't let them see our guild mark now, can we?"
I smiled - maybe this quest wasn't going to be so dangerous after all.
"Well" I started, "ready to kick some butt?"
"I'm all fired up!" He smirked.

Thank you for reading my very first chapter - I was going to continue this a little further but I shall leave the quest till next chapter ;) I've been working very hard on working out a plot to this so I really hope that you all enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed writing it!
