3. night one, dinner

after a long six hours of travelling at pearl harbor, the group arrived at a fancy restaurant nearby for a late dinner.

since there hadn't been meals throughout the tour, everyone was quite hungry and it was shown as all the complimentary bread baskets were empty before the dinner had arrived.

at jeongguks table sat himself, jimin, a man they learned was seokjin who's lived in hawaii for many years (but wanted to join this tour for fun), another man named hoseok who took a trip away from home in hopes of finding himself and possibly love, and taehyun and his brother hueningkai - or kai for short - who's always wanted to go to hawaii.

the group all meshed together nicely, making the dinner go by quite quickly, especially with the help of a few additional drinks.

"gguk, im gonna go get another champagne, be back in a sec." jimin told the boy talking to seokjin, who looked to him and nodded before returning to his conversation with the elder.

once getting his 'okay' from jeongguk, jimin skipped up to the bar and a tall man with dimples began getting the boy a fresh drink. as jimin was paying for said beverage, the taller of the two began to speak up. "are you close with that guy over there?" he pointed towards an animated seokjin, laughing loudly at something dumb the younger said.

jimin looked at seokjin, then towards his money and handed it to the man. "ah, not really. just met the guy tonight, why?" "oh, so you don't know if he's single or not?" the man asked, causing jimin to shake his head and he groaned. "damn, he's really attractive." "yeah, he is. if you want to date him, better hurry it up. someone at our table is looking for love and he just might find it tonight." jimin replied, taking a sip of his champagne as he watched disbelief fill the others face.

quickly, the guy began making a whisky and coke, writing down something on a napkin and hurriedly pushing it and the drink into jimin's unoccupied hand. "give this to him please and tell him rm made it [for him]." rm smiled a dimply smile as he recalled his wording, rushing the other boy off. "wait i dont have to pay for this, right?" jimin called back and rm shook his head, waving him off.

with a shrug, he took another sip of his champagne and handed seokjin the napkin and drink. with a questioning glance, jimin explained, "rm made this for you." "who?" he asked, taking a questionable sip as jimin pointed back towards the bar.

"the tall bartender with the dimples." "he has dimples!" seokjin exclaimed (nearly choking on ice cubes in his drink) and jimin nodded vigorously. "hot, right! you def should go talk to him." jimin smiled towards the man, wiggling his eyebrows as jeongguk laughed. "wow, you're a matchmaker now, huh?" "yeah, and im bound to become your matchmaker for cutie at tabllllle... that one," he pointed secretively towards taehyung at the table across from theirs.

jeongguk shook his head with a smile as light blush coated his cheekbones and jimin asked, "you're already whipped for the guy. you like him, right?"

"its too soon to say, chim. i dont want to base things off looks." jeongguk replied and jimin cocked his head to the side. "do you not think he's attractive?" "no listen he's super attractive and super-" jimin raised an accusatory brow. "no im not whipped. i think he's super attractive, but i dont want to base that off whether i have a little crush or not." he explained, quickly taking a chug of his water as jimin fondly laughed.

"well, have you at least talked to him yet?" he questioned, taking a sip of his champagne. "ah, not exactly? but maybe i will!" jeongguk stated and his friend rolled his eyes. "if you want to get to know him and confirm your crush, you need to talk. take my advise for once, shithead." he stated and jeongguk nodded, averting his eyes towards the table.

as yoongi was sitting the closest to the pair, he overheard their conversation and soon turned his gaze towards taehyung. "tae, i think that kid over there is talking about you." he told the drunker of the two, cocking his head towards the direction of jeongguk. taehyung let out an airy laugh and a smile, saying, "i sure hope he is." yoongi frowned, "why dont you talk to him?"

taehyung grinned from ear to ear, placing his drink on the table as he clapped like a child. "i did! today while we were admiring pearl harbor, he accidentally touched my hand and apologized really quietly and cutely. i swear, it was the cutest thing ever." taehyung fondly recalled, a smile finding a way on his face.

yoongi shook his head, taking another sip of red wine. "you know," he started. "this guy is starting to make you sound like a love-struck teen." taehyung giggled, hitting his hyungs arm as he slurred incoherent disagrees.

yoongi - having had enough of the boys blabber - was heading over to the bar when jimin stopped him in his tracks. "hey you, youre friends with tour guy, right?" he questioned, causing yoongi to flush due to the close proximity in which the smaller man stood.

"yeah, we're really close, wh - ?" "oh thank god, okay my friend jeongguk is beginning to like your friend, but wont admit it or talk to him. can you please help me play cupid?" yoongi was in shock to say the least.

"you- play... cupid?" "yes yes, i know this sounds strange but guk wants - no - needs to make more friends and this could be great, especially if it ends in a lover." he [half-lied] explained and yoongi slowly nodded his head as he absorbed the blabber the other spoke. 

"taehyung seems to like your friend too," yoongi stated with a cocked brow and jimin mentally cheered for this news. any thoughts of how 'unprofessional' it could be for the pair to date completely left both males minds as they continued to converse and strike up a plan conducting how they will help get the two closer.

"however, ill only help if you do something for me in return." yoongi suggested, his confidence slowly arriving the longer he talked with the smaller blonde. a tingly feeling began to form in jimins stomach the more the brown haired boy stared him down, so he averted his gaze and questioned out, "what is it?"

"you let me get to know you better too." jimin looked up towards the smirking boy, a wide-eyed look consuming his expression. however, jimin soon recomposed himself for the older and with blushing cheeks, he took yoongis hand and left a small kiss to the top of it. "deal." he muttered, letting it go with a wink and walked back to his table where jeongguk began to complain to him.

yoongi was once again left shocked.

also im saying jimin lied because he just wants his bestie to find love especially with this guy so its not more so him being antisocial and needing more friends as it is him wanting to get a cute boyf to treasure, love, and appreciate, especially it being the gorgeous tour guide.
ALSO I KNOW ITS ONLY DAY ONE AND THEY MET A FEW HOURS PRIOR BUT PLEASE STICK W ME HERE I KNOW ITS SOON BUT JIMIN DOES THINGS URGENTLY/
