So there we were. Getting driven to "Camp Flight." It was a long journey. It felt like hours before we got here. When we arrived, the camp wasn't as pleasing as I thought it would be. Everything was just so.. dark and creepy. We rested in a somewhat "cabin" for a few hours. My sister was scared the whole time. For once I comforted her.
The whole time she didn't fall asleep. She was scared to death. My sister is brave and so am I but this place was just so.. odd. Although it was pretty scary.. I knew we were only gonna be here for a day.
A few hours later we woke up... we had to start training my sister. It was 5:00 PM. My sisters wings had already grown a few months ago. We walked in the damp grass, and it felt as if it hadn't been cut in a long time. Although it looked short it felt long. We kept walking and saw the trees, I saw a sign.. I read it.. "Flight Training." So this was the place.. the place to help my sister fly. There were many people with their kid(s) helping them fly.
We helped my sister spread her wings.. she began to fly! I was so proud at her at that moment. My whole family including me flew around with her. Flying took my mind of off how scary this camp looks.
A few moments later my sister was thirsty.
My mom asked, "Sweetheart can you go back to the cabin and get some water for your sister?" I didn't want to go back to the "cabin" but I didn't want to disappoint my mother. I replied to her tensely, "Yes.. mother." I flew over to the cabin. I couldn't find the water.. it had been a few minutes and I thought to myself, "Maybe it's in the fridge?" I checked the fridge desperate for water, and to return to my family. There it was cold water. I drank some in a hurry and opened my wings and made my way to the door. The door closed with a thud.. I flew back to the "Flight Training" area. My sister was sitting on a bench and looked quite thirsty. I helped her drink the water. My parents also drank some water for they had flew at some quite rapid speeds.
We kept flying for a long time. I enjoyed flying in the sky with my sister now by my side. I had went back to all the moments I argued with her.. I thought, "From now on I'll be a better sister Laura.. I promise." I was hoping she was thinking the same thing.. the chances of that however are very low.
I thought of exploring the camp a bit.. on my own. I wanted to be independent at times and this was a good time to do that. I looked around the camp and headed onto my flight. In the distance I saw many clouds. I flew around the clouds and flew down into a place with a bench and lots of trees. This place was probably the most not scariest place in this camp. It had roses and daises and lots of tulips. The sun was shining so brightly in this area. The area with the cabin barely had any sunlight.
The sunset was beautiful.
I decided to go back to my family. I flew over and under the clouds. I stopped to admire the sunsets colors multiple times. I started to realize it was getting darker than I realized it was. I flew at a faster pace.
I landed back in front of the signs. I read it to make sure I was in the right place. "Flight Training.. okay! I'm here."
I walked over to where my family was. I didn't see anyone in the distance. I kept walking and got closer and closer to where my family was. I saw them sitting under a tree but I was still quite far away from them. A few moments later.. a thud. I looked over to what had happened but still couldn't really see anything.
I ran fast.. faster.. and then at my fastest point. I was very scared for what had happened. Finally I started to slow down as I had seen something.. something I didn't like looking at.
I saw my family.. and many others trapped in a cage. I was very scared. Many men were surrounded around the cage. They were hand-cuffing all the demons. I screamed, "Mom!" I saw my mother look at me and she screamed back, "Elaine.. run away don't worry about us." I really didn't want to go.. but I was forced to when a man started to come after me. I ran as fast as I could. I soon got tired and opened my wings and flew.. I should've done this before.. he can't get me now that I'm in the air.
This was one of the worst days of my life. My family was gone.
