I walk in the house after a long first day. I go straight to the kitchen and heat up some of mama's leftovers.I see a not on the counter.

I have to work late tonight. Make sure you get Cali off the bus and make sure they eat. I love y'all.

Its 3:20pm. I walked to get Cali and I see Janessa waiting at the bustop. She starts laughing. "You following me? " "Not at all. Just getting my sister off the bus." I told her. "Oh yea. I'm getting my brother." The bus pulled up and let the kids get off. A curly head boy ran to Janessa and hugged her. I'm guessing that's her brother. I seen Cali running towards and I pick her up. "Whoa. Hey princess. How was your first day?"

"Omg Kenny, it was really good! My teacher is really nice. "

"That's good lil mama. You hungry?" She nodded and we headed home. I get Cali settled and I go up to check up on rooky. He's been quiet ever since we stepped foot in the house. I opened his door and see money scattered over the bed and him knelt down counting it. He seen me and smiled. "Where'd you get all that?" I questioned him. "I've been saving. Just on my grown man shit bruh." My face turned up. "Nigga, yo balls ain een drop yet. Talm bout grown man shit." I shook my head at his ass. "Man whatever. Don't be hating cuz a nigga ballin." I just had to continue to laugh at this nigga and walked out his room. I felt my phone vibrating. It's Monty.

•phone call•

Me: "Yo?"

Monty: "Aye nigga. Where you at?"

Me: "Home. Why wassup?"

Monty: "You should come with us to the game tonight. Shits finna be live."

Me: "Who is we? And I can't. Moms working late and aint nobody here to watch Cali and Rook."

Monty: "man, they old enough to watch themselves. You could bring them anyway. It's just the crew. Come on bruh, its Friday. You needa get out the house and have fun."

He had a point. It is the weekend and I know Cali wanna get out the house as well.

Me: "Ight bruh. I' ma bring 'em. Who playing and where it's gonna be?"

Monty: "Ight cool. Its Norcross vs Marietta. But it's an away game. Y'all needa ride?"

Me: "nah bruh we cool. Mama got another car. Just text me the directions."

Monty: "Ight fam, see you later."

*phone call ended*

"Cali!" I screamed. I heard little feet running down the hall. "Yeah?" she's been playing Barbie, I can tell. She has on her princess costume and marker on her face. I sighed. "What are you doing? What's with the marker?" she starts laughing. "Kenny I was playing."

"Well go get cleaned. Wanna go to the football game?"

"Ooo, yea. Can I wear my princess costume?" my eyes widened. "Oh no! I'll get your clothes. Just go shower." She ran to the bathroom and I went into rooky's room. He wasn't doing shit but blasting music. "Yo! Turn that shit down!" I yelled. "Damn bruh, wassup?" "We finna go to the game. Get dressed." His ass rushed to his closet. I shook my head and exit to go to my room. I threw on some all blue trues, black diamond company t-shirt, and some aqua 8's. I put on the finishing touches and Cali walks in. "Kenny, I don't know what to wear." Her eyes saddened. I picked her up. "Come on let's find something." We walked to her room and she sits on the bed while I go through her closet. I found her some Levi jeans, white Nike shirt, and her grape 5's. She added her earrings and got dressed. I yelled rook's name and grabbed the keys. We all hopped in the car and was out.
