shocking truth

The next morning as Lydia wakes up she remembers the bad day she had and really hopes that today is not the same. As she walks out the door to head to school. She is greeted by Cole sitting in her drive way. Wanting nothing to do with him she continues to walk. As he follows her slowly in his car he offers her a ride so they will be able to be alone and talk. When she graciously declines he knows something is up. Later after they both arrived at school he writes her a note and Sticks it in her locker. When she sees the note she contemplates ripping it up and going about her day but to her surprise there is a small rose drawn on the front of it. She begins to question how he knew she liked Rose's but just brushes it off as that's probably the only flower he knows how to draw. Soon she Is sitting in class and opens the note.
Lydia, I dont know what is going on with you but since I kissed you you've been acting different. Am I that bad of a kisser or is something actually off. I thought you liked me. I mean I really like you. I'm sorry If I've done something wrong. Yours truly Cole.
She now is confused but decides to write him back. Saying: Dear Cole, what is off is the fact that you acted like you cared about me with such a passionate kiss and I thought you were different and cared about me . But when I seen you with another girl yesterday at the store I was crushed and I seen the true reality of things. I should have known better than to fall so easy. I'm sorry.  Lydia. She debated giving him her note or not and said screw it and gave it to him anyways. Hoping he would actually read it. To her surprise he had and not only that but he expressed his feelings for her in front of all his friends. Including punching a couple of lockers and a wall because of how upset he was. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her but somehow some way he had. Now it was up to him to figure out how exactly he was going to fix this to get her back. He now was so scared that she was going to move on and find someone else who would make her so much happier then what he had for that brief moment. Both were hurt and didnt know what to say to each other which made the rest of the day kinda awkward. But instead of trying to make it up to her he left school and went straight home to clear his head and wonder what to do the next day to make it up to her then. He played his video games until his ex girlfriend called him telling him she was lonely cause her parents weren't home and invited him over. And him thinking it was a good way to clear his head he went to her house and they ended up getting back together. At this time there was not a thought in the world about how Lydia was going to feel once she found out. He soon goes to sleep thinking he has done nothing wrong. But boy was he wrong.
