My parents told me something I didn't want to know~ or well, I 'did' want to know... but that was before I actually heard what it was!! Anyway when I was 14 years old I began to see that there were Big differences between me and Noah. Noah's skin was much lighter than mine, it was like we weren't brother and sister. At first I thought it was because I just tanned easier.. but in middle school It got more obvious looking at other kids. Everyone was lighter, except some African kids. One of them is Layla, she has been my best friend since we first met. The way we met is actually quite funny, I was running to my classroom and ran into Layla on the way. We burst out in laughter and we've been friends since that very moment. I love her and trust her with my life. I feel very lucky to have a friend like her, not everyone will ever find a BFF like that.
On my 15th birthday I begged my parents to tell me what they were going to reveal to me a year later. But they didn't, I HAD to wait. Right now? Looking at this pile of food in my bedroom? I wish I never knew...
Like... 3 months before my 16th birthday I begged by parents to tell me ( Don't judge me, I was as curious as you are now!!)
They told me no and I again waited in patience. Kind.... Yeah no.. I annoyed them every day in the hope that they'd tell me. But nah of course not. I mean, its cruel!! Telling your 10 year old daughter that she is going to hear something on her 16th birthday!! That should be illegal!! So on my 16th birthday I woke up early, I was like SO excited to know what it was... The moment I came downstairs I saw a beautiful breakfast on the table right before me. The food lover I am, completely forgot about what my parents wanted to tell me and it probably looked like I was about to eat the table too. But can you blame me?! There were Croissants, scrambled eggs, orange juice and toast!! (I bet I made you hungry now, hehehe ~ evil laugh~).
It was still around 8 in the morning when I finished and I got a few little presents, or well... the size was little. I got a pair of cute earrings, happy socks and a birthday card.
It's really weird, my mom's and dad's handwriting seems a bit off on my birthday compared to the rest of the year. But I am probably just imagining things right?
Anyway.. I totally forgot to ask what they wanted to
tell me! I was so focused on my family and friends
that I completely forgot about the 'important' news.
Later in the evening when everyone had left it shot back in my head,:
"YOU HAD SOMETHING TO TELL ME"?!! : I said with a loud, questioning voice.
To be continued...
