John's POV
There was silence while walking down to the nurse's office.(yes,they have a nurse's office-) "...Why'd you do it?" I asked. "Hm?" He hums,not looking at me. "Why'd you protect me?" I asked. "Do you think that's what I was doing?" Alex asked. "I mean...Yeah..." I said. "I was just angry at Thomas okay?I wasn't protecting you.I only told you to go because I didn't want you to attract any attention with your whining." He said.That kind of hurt.
"What brings you here?" The Nurse said walking out into the waiting room. "H-He got beat up,it's pretty self explanatory" I said. "Alright well,Mr.Hamilton come over here to this chair and sit down.Mr.Laurens,there is some Band-Aids over there if there are any cuts that don't need rubbing alcohol." The nurse said as she went to another student I'm guessing that was sick.I took a Band-aid and looked at a tiny cut above his nose.I ripped the backing off and started to put it on him. "Hey,don't scrunch." I said.Alexander relaxed and I put the Band-aid on,and tapped on the middle. I heard Alexander say "Ow." under his breath but I didn't say anything.There were a couple more cuts on his face that weren't too deep so I put Band-aids on them.
The nurse came back then and out bandages and other stuff on other injurys."alright,that should do it!"The nurse as she placed the last bandage on him. "Okay,boys.Get back to class."She said, washing her hands.Me and Alexander nodded.Alexander left without a thank you.There were no words in the way back to our classes.But I kept questioning myself something...
" Though...I wouldn't mind if you came with me?"Does he want to be friends?
