“Wake up!” Sean threw a pillow at me.
“Uh-oh”, I mumbled.
“We are late.”
I shook my head, “It’s only half past 7”
“Yeah and class starts at 8, playboy” Sean said, “and you missed the breakfast.”
“What?” I only had Pizza yesterday and my insides were cringing.
Sean shrugged his shoulders and picked his bag. He went to the door and stopped there, holding the door’s fringe.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
Sean didn’t answer. I went to him just in time because he lost his balance next instant and stumbled.
“Hey-“, I caught him before he hit the ground. He was unconscious.
“Sean? Hey dude?” I shook him and a little then checked his pulse. It was very weak.
I looked around the room. There was a water bottle on the table. I picked it up poured some water on his face.
He was still unconscious. I slapped him. After some moments he opened eyes and coughed.
“Here”, I gave him water. He took a sip and then tried to sit up.
“Are you okay?”
“Uh” Sean grabbed his head.
“Were you studying the whole night?” I asked revolted, looking at his bed where some open books were lying.
“No” He mumbled.
At that moment our room door opened and Jason walked in, closely followed by Andrew.
“What’s going on?” He asked looking at Sean who was sweating now.
“He just fainted” I told him.
A crease appeared between Jason’s eye brows. He bent down and checked Sean’s pulse and then looked at him in eyes.
“Are you on drugs?” He asked quietly.
Sean looked at him, both surprised.
“No” Sean said.
“Then why you fainted on your first day in college? Were you nervous about first day? You decided to relieve the stress a little?” Jason said, and even I was a little surprised at the hardness in Jason’s voice.
“I have never taken a single pill”, Sean said angrily. Jason looked at me, I shook my head. I didn’t know anything about Sean given that I just met him last night.
“Hey you guys are already late for class, let’s go” Andrew who was also eyeing Sean, put in.
Sean got up, grabbed his bag and went out of room. I looked after him; I didn’t want a room with a druggy. Apparently this was the same thing going on Jason’s mind.
“I want you to change your room.” He said.
“I don’t think he is on drugs.” I said.
“I still want you to go to the warden.”
“I can look at after myself.” I told him firmly.
“Ryse!”
“Jason I listen to you more then I listen to anyone, but don’t push me to do anything I don’t want to”, I said, my own voice was rising in anger.
“Yeah, your heart desire is fulfilled!”
I stopped dead at my tracks.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I shouted at Jason.
