Stones Point of View
I woke up to someone making a bit of noise.
I opened my eyes, and saw Jerry opening, and closing some of his dresser drawers.
He turned around and gave me a quick smile.
"Morning Stone." Jerry greeted me.
"Morning Jerry." I said back to him.
He went over to the bedside drawer, that was only inches away from me. He opened it, and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, and a lighter.
He lit one, took a puff, then pointed at me. "You decently clothed?"
"Uhm- I have boxers on so- I guess so." I told him, with a nervous laugh.
"Good. I gotta lean over you for a second." He held out his cigarette to me. "Can you hold this for a sec?"
I nodded, and took the cigarette. I sat up, and the covers fell off my chest, onto my lap.
Jerry leaned over me, and grabbed a light grey shirt that was on the other side of me- on the bed.
As he came back up, he bumped into his lit cigarette.
He hissed from the pain, and rubbed his arm with his hand. "Fuck!"
"I-im sorry Jerry. I shouldve moved it away."
He pushed his sleeve up, revealing a burn mark. The cigarette must have drug across his skin, because it was a long burn mark.
"Dont worry about it Stone."
Wow.. for once he didnt call me "kid". I thought to myself.
Jerry sat on the edge of the bed. "Can you go get me a piece of ice or something? Maybe a cold beer bottle I can put on it?" He asked me.
"Uh, yea- yea." I said, as I hopped up from the bed. I got a beer out of the fridge, and ran into his room.
"Help me out, would you? I'll hold my sleeve up." He said.
I sat on his bedside table, hoping he wouldnt mind, so I could reach his arm better. I leaned forward and held the beer can against the burn.
He hissed from the pain again.
"I'm really sorry Jerry." I said, giving him a worried look.
"Man I wish you could see your face." He said with that unique laugh of his. "Dont worry about it Stone. I'm the one who bumped into the damn thing. You were just holding it- like I asked." He told me.
I nodded and said, "ok."
"That's good for now Stone." He said, taking the beer and setting it down. "I'm gonna get dressed. You should too. You cant leave in just your boxers." He said laughing again.
I rolled my eyes, and laughed along.
After, Jerry left, I went ahead and got dressed. I had on an old Melvins band shirt, and a pair of Jean's, and walked out.
I saw Jerry sitting on the couch, lighting another cigarette. He tilted his head back, and leaned it against the wall, as he blew out smoke. Once he saw me, he stood up.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Ready to.. what?" I asked.
He laughed, then said, "I'm gonna take you to meet the two other idiots in my band."
"Wait..really?"
"Yes, really. You can go ahead to the car- I'll meet you out." He said, nodding towards the door.
