You know the quote: "Once you make a decision the universe conspires to make it happen.". Well, this became horribly apparent for me. I had never believed in fate. I had never even believed that I would get exactly what I wanted, exactly when I needed it. That was, not without terrible pain and suffering to get it. Let's just say, my story starts with a cactus. A cactus I will never forget, mainly for the pain, but also for the happiness it gave me.
——
There I was again. Staring at myself in the mirror. The noose was tied around my neck. I was prepared this time. Not to say I wasn't prepared the former times, but that small bit of hope was still there than. Today was the day I was gonna do it. I had finally been fed up with life. After catching my 4 year boyfriend banging a old lady in my bed I was finally done with it. I allowed him to stay with me when he had no place to go and he treats me like this. Fuck him! I hope him and that grandma burn.
I took a breath in and kicked the chair from me. My throat was clutched so no breath was getting in. I tried to pull the ropes from my throat but there was no use. It was painful, but it would be the last pain I would ever feel. I had worse. I was grower weaker and weaker. Just as my eyes were shutting the rope broke. Air filled my lungs as my ass slammed into the floor.
"Fucking, dammit!" I screamed.
I knew that rope was crap. Can't even treat myself to a quality rope. The door opened. I wasn't shocked by who I saw, but I was very pissed off.
"Hey, can you take your pity party somewhere else. I gotta pee," the old slut said.
"Go fuck yourself!" I shouted.
"I don't have to. Your boyfriend already does," she replied.
I stood up, slightly shaking. She thinks she can come into my home and act like this. I unwrapped the rope from my neck. I'd make sure she paid. I stomped out of the bathroom, making sure to bump into her. She made a snarky comment, but I ignored it. I was gonna die today, wether the Gods wanted it or not.
I'd nearly walked into Luther as I was leaving. He placed his hands around my waist to steady me. The feeling of his skin on mine was something I hated and loved all at the same time. I wanted to relish in it but the memory of his hands wrapped around her disgusted me.
"I told you not to waste the rope." He said, his fingers touching my neck.
"Don't worry. It didn't come out of your money," I said.
"Good. Bring something home for dinner. Stacy likes vegetables," he replied.
...
I had found the sturdiest rope money could buy. The seller told me it could hold the weight of an elephant. I was nowhere near the weight of an elephant but I wasn't a tiny thing. I ran my hands across the length of it. It was rough of texture and held a almost deathly feel. Good.
Nothing could stop me now. I was ready to get in my car when a sign caught my eye. In a small store, on a large sign, in bright green, read: "Free Cactus!". This wasn't something that I would usually stop for, but I found myself being drawn to the store. I had read about the dangers of ingesting cactus skin. It could cause unbearable pain and even death. That was something only a truly evil person would have to endure. Someone who stole others boyfriends, maybe.
A few minutes later I found myself walking out of the store holding a very large Cactus. It was heavy but tolerable. I opened the passenger door and placed it on the seat. It looked almost human shaped sitting there. I got into the drivers side and slammed the door. Before I started the car I took a look at the plant.
It looked to be in good care and...
(Ok, so I'm stopping it here cause I'm not gonna write all that at like 12 at night. So, what happens is the plant draws her in. She does the whole pricks her finger, and falls into a deep, death like sleep. She wakes up, in a strange world where she has to learn to love and accept what is thrown at her while also saving this prince from death by another kingdom. Also she has powers. )
The end of this little sneak peak of what could be if I get really into this.
