Their inner selves be in despair, depression, anger, pain, and hatefulness also anxiety and emotional issues and even who your dark inner evil or monster self on the inside of your mind if you start to feel any of them or they breaking out of your mind your body and eyes will look like them just like Jyushi's hand is gray and Oso's blood look black coming out of his mouth a little even his monochrome self blood is red
They even have powers of their own to like the gray Kara is controlling Karamatsu like puppet
Ichimatsu was the first to have an effect when his neck start turning monochrome cause his monochrome self came out of him
