The League Banquet

It was a brisk autumn day back in Celestial Town in the Sinnoh Region. After being gone for almost two years, it felt refreshing to finally be back home. You had been traveling in the beautiful island paradise of Alola, fulfilling your quest to travel the various regions of the world in hopes of becoming a prominent trainer. Finally, after 12 years of traveling the regions, you could finally call yourself a league champion.

With the duties of becoming a champion came attending the prestigious League Banquet, held once a year in one of the regions. This year it was Sinnoh's turn, and it was almost time to arrive at the Pokemon League. You were pretty excited, especially to see your best friend Cynthia once again. However, you couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, as your huge crush was going to be at the banquet - Mr. Steven Stone.

Although he was 3 years older than you, you couldn't help but admire his character.  His dorky obsession over stones, his humility despite being champion and heir to the Devon corporation, and of course, his attractiveness was a major plus.

You met him back in Hoenn 4 years ago when you had to deliver a letter to him at the start of your journey, and saw him a few other times afterwards. He peaked interest since that very first encounter, and your admiration grew with every subsequent meeting.

Unfortunately, you knew he wouldn't remember you, but nevertheless, the thought of seeing him made your heart flutter. Just thinking about his bright steel blue eyes, and his adorable smile could make any girl swoon.

When you finished getting ready in your (f/c) dress, wearing your favorite necklace and shoes to match, you stepped outside your home and called upon your Staraptor. 

--Time Skip to Your Arrival--

"(y/n)!" Cynthia called. You hopped off your Staraptor and ran to the Sinnoh Champion to give her a hug.

"Cynthia, it's been forever!" you squealed, and she squeezed you tighter in agreement. Once she let you go, you were finally able to breathe and she scanned your appearance.

"Well don't you look fancy, trying to impress a certain someone?" she winked.

Your face heat up out of embarrassment, and she giggled at your reaction. Being your best friend, Cynthia knew all about your crush since the very start. She constantly teased you about it, especially since she was pretty close with the stone fanatic.

"Sh-shut up Cynthia!" you squealed. She laughed as she nudged you, and grabbed your arm to walk into the banquet hall.

Upon entering, you saw all the prestigious trainers from the seven regions. Gym leaders, elite four members, and of course the kahunas and trial captains. Cynthia led you through the room, weaving around all the tables as you exchanged brief greetings with everyone. As you approached the Champion's table, Cynthia smirked deviously, unnoticed to you.

"(y/n), there's name plates at every seat. I have to go greet the other guests, but you're free to sit. I'll be back soon!"

You nodded, and made your way to seat setting your stuff down. 'So Cynthia is sitting on my left and Steven is on my right... WAIT STEVEN IS SITTING NEXT TO ME?!' you thought as your eyes widened in shock. "Damn Cynthia, I know she planned this," you muttered to yourself.

You glanced up from the table to see Cynthia walking in with Wallace and of course, Steven Stone. He was wearing his classic suit with the purple zig zags, but it was definitely restyled since the last time you saw him. His hair glowed in the dim light of the chandeliers, steel eyes sparkling as they met your (e/c) orbs. He smiled as you made eye contact, making your face heat up and your heart start to race.

"Hello (y/n). I didn't know you'd be coming on such short notice, but I'm so happy that you're here joining us today." Steven smiled, and kissed you hand, causing your face to turn bright red.
