The person opens the door causing me to turn around.
"Hello stranger." Kerry laughs, walking out.
"Oh my life." I laugh. "Sorry I've been busy putting Darcey to bed." She nods and walks out.
"Thought you had ditched me." She jokes and touches my bum.
"There is people." I say, looking around.
"Well I'm leaving now so it's fine." Kerry says, grabbing her jacket.
"Wait that?" I say, shocked.
"Yeah, I don't really stay at parties." She smiles, checking her phone.
"It's only ten." I say, taking her hand. She looks down and our hands and runs her thumb over my hand.
"Take my number. We can meet again Ava. Don't worry babe." I look down as she speaks.
"Hey," She whispers, forcing my head up with her hand. I look up at her as she talks "I'll see you soon. I promise. Tonight was fun don't think I'm leaving because of before." She says, pecking my lips.
She gives me her phone while she sorts her hair out. I add my number under the name 'A❣️'.
"I'll text you when I'm home. Okay?" I nod and turn away. I start to walk away but feel Kerry's Hans pulling my arm.
"Are you okay?" She asks, looking worried.
"Yeah. I just don't know what I'm going to do because Darcey is asleep and you're leaving." She sighs and hugs me tightly.
"I don't wanna leave. But my ride is. I'll text you now so you have my number. And we can text and call okay?" I nod and intertwine our fingers as I walk her to the door.
"Watch." She says, taking her phone out and texting me. I hear my phone ping.
"Text me whenever." She smiles and she walks away and hops in a matte black car. I wave her off and walk back into the house. I walk back to the bar and do a couple of shot and drink half a bottle of vodka on my own.
After hour I feel drunk. The place slowly begins to empty and I can feel myself walking in waves.
I see Jacob standing outside the shed. He sees me and runs over to me.
"All alone?" He laughs, holding me up also trying to support himself.
"Jacob. Shall we get stoned?" I ask, giggling.
"Fuck yeah." He laughs. He takes me to the shed and keeps the doors open as we both sit on the bean bags opposite the couch.
"You're phones ringing." He says as he rolls a spliff.
I look at my phone to see a number calling. I swipe and answer it, rubbing my head.
"Hello?" You hear Kerry day down the phone.
"Hi." You say back, watching Jacob.
"Is everything okay?" She asks in a serious tone.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just with Jacob. In the shed dude." I laugh, slurring my words.
"I knew I shouldn't of left you." She sighs.
"Jacob is sober ain't you Jay?" I move the phone towards him.
He just laughs down the phone.
I bring the phone back to my ear and smudge my eye makeup. "Why you ringing?" I say, closing my eyes.
"What do you mean why am I ringing you? I wanted to talk to you Ava." She says, hurt.
"Let's put some bangers on." Jacob shouts, smacking the stereo making it play a cd.
"I'm coming back." She says. You hear ruffling from the other side.
"Nooo, stay there." You shout over the music. She ends the call after you had finished your sentence.
"Who's that?" Jacob asks, lighting the spliff.
"Darceys mate." I lie, taking the blunt and taking a load of drags.
"Oh man. You're gunna be sooo fucked." He laughs loudly. I stand up and tumble towards the door.
"I'm going to piss. I'll be back!" I shout, walking out the shed and back into the house.
I hold myself against the wall as I slowly stumble towards the front door.
I step outside, tripping on the front step causing my to fall onto the grass.
You hear two car doors door slam and Kerry's voice.
"What are you-" she cuts herself off by picking me up.
"Can we go to the shed?" I slur, walking back into the house.
"No Ava, come on." She says, trying to guide me to the car.
"Jacob!" I shout. Kerry moves panicked.
"Fine. Let me take you." She groans, picking me up and carrying me to the garden. "Go to the shed and stay in there." She says, putting me down.
"I want you to come back in." I whisper, moving my hands down the front of her.
"Woah." She looks at her friend nervously. He just looks away and heads into the shed and checks on Jacob.
"I'll come and sit in there. But you don't mention anything okay?" She says, moving my hands away.
"Are you that ashamed of me?" I slur, tearing up.
"What? No no," She says, looking at me, "I'll explain in the morning okay? Please listen to me." I turn away, wiping my eyes and stumble back into shed with Jacob and Kerry's mate.
"You're back!" Jacob cheers, handing me the spliff. I sit on the couch and take more drags as Kerry walks in, looking me dead in the eye.
"I thought you had left Kerry?" Jacob shouts over his music. She shakes her head and takes a seat next to me.
Jacob comes over and takes the spliff off me and suggest that's we take a photo.
Everyone comes and gather around me and Kerry as we all smile.
"Cheers!" We all laugh and talk for a couple of minutes before I feel myself slowly falling asleep.
I feel an arm wrap around me causing my to lean my head their direction. I let my feet dangle off the couch as I fall asleep on someone's chest.
"Goodnight." I hear Kerry say as she played with my hair causing me to drift off.
