I was in complete La La Land.

I couldn't stop day dreaming!

I couldn't even hear the door bell ring but I knew if I didn't open the door I'll have to rake all the leaves outside and I don't wanna do that.

I opened the door seeing my mom... my brother... my niece... and my father.

I jump in his hands and hugged him!

"Papa!" Okay yeah I call my dad Papa what's wrong with that?

"Hello darling, you look magnificent today" He said teasingly.

"Why thank you Papa" I bowed down and we both laughed.

We sat at the dinner table silently it's not like we always sit in silence.

It's just that my mom and dad are divorced and we are not used to having him here, Papa would always start the conversation.

"So how was school Melody?" Melody is Ericka's middle name but my mom's name is Melody. Ericka was named after her.

"It was great!" She said happily

"okay okay that's good, very good"

"And Darling, how was your days at school?" He calls me Darling and I have no idea why.

"It's doing good" I said staring at my food and not at him.

"Did you met any boys" that time I only looked at his face. He had his eyebrow up and looking at me. He can keep it up there for a pretty long time. I know I can never lie because my family are very good at telling if your lieing.

"Maybe" I felt like I was a disappointment. I don't know why but I felt it.

"What's his name?" My mom asked me. Oh man what if they end up not liking Riley. He's like the only guy who actually likes me.

"Riley" I mumbled  hoping she didn't hear it.

"Riley who?" I looked at dad. He had wide eyes he looked like he knew who I was talking about.

"Riley Rivers" I told my mom. Dad spit out his drink. He looked at me as if I was crazy and so did my mother.

"I forbid you to see him again!" My mother yelled at me.

"What why!?" I was pretty angry.

"Because I said so"

"That's not giving me a reason mother"

"Look you know how I'm a lawyer, right?" Yep my mom's a lawyer...

"Yeah"

"Yeah well I'm his lawyer" Why the hell does he need a frickin lawyer.

"Okay why?"

"Rivers has done extremely horrific things. Things that you would have nightmares about. His parents wanted me to be his lawyer becau-"

"Because your the best of the best... I know" I looked down. I didn't know that Riley was that much of a bad person. He didn't look like it. Maybe he was just tricking me to just go to his house someday and kill me. I was so sad.

"I only want you to be safe" my mother said holding my hand. I looked at her. She had hazel brown eyes. I had my father's eyes my brother had hers.

I hate my life.

I slammed myself onto my bed crying my heart out.

Realizing that the only man that loves me. Is a man who likes killing people for fun.
