Chapter 4

I walked into the small cafe looking around for a second before spotting Aleks. He had already ordered me my favorite drink, a white hot chocolate. I walked over to the table as he stood up to greet me in a hug. A hug from Aleks was like hugging a million kittens at once. Gentle yet reassuring, it was almost as if he knew exactly how long was too long and he couldn't make a hug awkward. We both sat down before he asked me a question. "So what are you studying?" I was confused at first. "You know... In college. Whats your major?" he continued after realizing I was confused as shit. "Um... Right college. Well I haven't exactly chosen a major yet... Just getting my liberal arts degree right now.." I answered back to him. "Oh thats awesome! Where do you go?" At this point I knew I had dug myself into a hole and I was about to just dig even further. "Just some small local campus you've probably never herd of it before... Not many people have. Its uh.. Newer." I lied looking away "Hey nice tattoo!" I pointed to his arm with a astronaut and a space ship trying to change the subject. "Oh you like it? Yea its pretty cool if I do say so myself." I couldn't help but laugh. "I've always wanted one of the sun. A simple one." "Whats stopping you?" "My parents would... Disown me... Were you're parents cool with it?" I asked making Aleks look away. "My uh parents..." "Didn't know?" I finished for him jokingly "Heh. Yea I guess you could say that.

Aleks and I sat in the cafe talking for another hour till we both got tired of sitting. Aleks suggested we take a walk in the park across the street.

"I used to come here all the time when I was little. My sister and I would sit here and watch my brother and dad fish. My mom would be walking the dog." I told aleks as we sat on the side of the pond. "What kind of memories do you have from your childhood?" Aleks' whole mood changed. "Well... My grandparents used to take my to get ice cream down the road if I made it a week in school without getting detention." I laughed not realizing it was a joke. "I mean what kind of memories with your parents?" I asked trying to change the mood again. "Well... My dad left when I was 2 and my mom died when I was 10... So I lived with my aunt and uncle till they got tired of me and left me with my grandparents who eventually just stopped giving a fuck." "Omg. Aleks. I am so sorry! I had no idea!" "Dont worry about it... That was in the past. When I turned 18 I moved out and started new." I felt really bad since of course it still hurt him. "Well I'm glad you started new... Sorry but I should be getting home. Ya know.. Since I have homework and ...School tomorrow. Plus its like a 15 min walk back to my place so I should probably get home before the sun leaves me." I told him as I got up still feeling bad. "You walked? Do you want a ride home?" Aleks asked me. Did I WANT one yes but was I going to let him? Yea when hell freezes over! I didn't need him to meet or see my 'picture perfect family'. "That's really sweet Aleks but no thank you. I like walking. Its relaxing..." I replied lying through my teeth. I hugged him and took in the moment. This perfect moment here with Aleks.

I woke up the next morning to find a message from Aleks on my phone. :Hey I kinda wanted to ask you this in person but... Would you want to go on a date with me? Like a real date.: I practically had a heart attack thinking of a date with Aleks! I replied back trying to not sound as insane as I truly was. :I would love that x:

I got to school and ran to Kristens locker. "OMG KRISTEN YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SHOW YOU!" I handed her my phone opened to the conversation between me and Aleks. Her face was annoyed at first then went into excitement "No way! Like Aleks, Aleks?!" I nodded. "Like Aleks, immortalhd, Aleks?!" I nodded again with a huge grin on my face. "AH! This is HUGE! Ok we are skipping school today and going shopping for you for some new clothes to wear tonight!" I said OK and we ditched school.

"Ok so what do you think you want to wear. It's going to be cold so we could do cardigans or cute jackets." Kristen told me as we walked into the mall. "I'm not sure... Lets just look around and see what we find." We started going from store to store finding nice things but nothing that was worthy of a date with Aleks. The last store was American Eagle. Normally I wouldn't go anywhere near that store because its way to preppy for me but at this point I was willing to look anywhere and everywhere. We found some black jeggings and a light blue cami. Kristen brought me over a blue and green quarter sleeve plaid shirt. "Go try all this on. I think it'll look amazing on you!" I sighed and rolled my eyes before going into the dressing room. I tried everything on and looked at myself in the mirror.

I looked... Amazing! The cami and jeggings showed off my natural curves while the shirt complimented the whole look. Plus I could wear almost any kind of shoes with this and make it work. I put on my beanie and it still look damn good. And even though I hadn't known Aleks THAT well I still knew that he would love this. After we bought that outfit we went to another store and bought me a pair of gray and blue vlado's. I looked at the time and freaked. I only had an hour till I was supposed to meet Aleks at the restaurant in the park.

I got home with Kristen and took a quick shower. I got out and Kristen started doing my hair as I did my make up. She wanted to be a hairdresser eventually so she always loved with I let her do my hair. She straightened it a bit and put a purple hair flower clip in my hair clipping my bangs back. I put on light eye shadow and eye liner and some light mascara. I decided to leave my lip color natural and just put on some nude lip gloss.

Tonight with Aleks was going to be perfect.

A/N hey guys thanks for the support on this story surprised in all honesty. This story is gonna kinda be a more feel good story with a touch of depressing stuff and a sprinkleing of drama.
