Like any good story, we start with a narration of the protagonist's side of the story.

My name's Juliet. Yes, I was named after a girl who killed herself over a guy. Not my decision, but it works. I think I have some very excellent items on my resume. 4.3 GPA, class pet, and an overall good kid. The only thing in my way is him. I get shivers just thinking about him.

Bradley. He's the smartest kid in the 11th grade, the type of guy everyone likes, and he still has time to go to parties and get drunk and hungover. I wouldn't hate him so much if he didn't talk to me. But me, little "Miss Number 2", right behind him, is the newest girl on his radar. He has a problem with talking to me. He's always finding an excuse to come in between me and my boyfriend, Sebastian.

Sebastian is the guy of my dreams. Respectable, smart, a little bit of a flirt, but still kind and knows how to treat me.

But of course, Brad has to make sure him and I are always annoyed by him.

This morning, I got ready as usual. I did my hair, makeup, nails, and then I packed my bag. Obviously, my looks aren't my biggest concern, but I like to look pretty. I picked out an outfit that looked like I came straight out of Clueless. A white button up with a tiny red velvet dress over it. I went for a really natual makeup look, but layered on the clear lip gloss. I drank a breakfast smoothie on the drive to school.

This school is a Preparatory School, but it usually gets shortened to just "Prep School." There's only 200 people attending this school, since the tuition costs so much. That means, unless you're super smart and get super lucky, you won't be able to attend. But of course, many people are willing to throw all their money towards school, like my family. My family is upper-middle class so we can do this sorta stuff.

When I got to Junior hall (for those who don't know, junior hall is the floor with that grade's lockers) I immediately went to Sebastian's locker and I talked to him, and he complimented my hair.

"Hey babe, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies this Saturday, and then maybe after we could go and go to my place..?" Sebastian winked, and I started laughing.

"Sorry, I can't, there's a Stats test next Tuesday." I held his hands. "But I promise the next time I can, we'll go to your place." This is the main thing we talk about. When we'll fuck next, the next time I'll be able to go to his house when he's alone... I hate it.

The bell rang, and I kissed his cheek, but he kept his grip on me. "Why don't you kiss me like we used to?"

"Well, class is-" I got flustered. The truth is, I don't wanna kiss him in public.

"Whatever. You aren't as fun as you used to be." And he stormed off.

But then Brad ran up to me. "Hey Juliet! I like your dress, it's new, isn't it?" It is. I wish Sebastian would notice things like that, but you can't have everything.

"What does it matter to you?" I gritted through my teeth, picking up the pace. His class is in the basement isn't it? My class is on the 3rd floor.

"Just noticed it, don't get mad at me!" That smile never left his face, even when he talked. His lips turned into a heart shape when he talked and smiled, it was one of the many things the girls in this school liked about him.

I sighed in idle and let him follow me, but of course, he liked to talk. "How's Sebastian?" He's always been interested in Seb and I's relationship. Everyday he's ask about it, and I always gave the same response.

"He's fine." Then he'd say the same thing.

"I wish he'd talk to me." Then I'd blow him off the same way.
