 Hamilton POV

I scoffed as Jefferson plopped down on the couch next to Lafayette. He was still sulking about losing his room mate. I would normally assume he and James were friends or something, but knowing James... and knowing Thomas... there's no possible way they could ever be fiends!

Jefferson looked at me weirdly, I couldn't figure out why, so I spoke up.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I could ask you the same question," he responded tiredly. Lafayette intervened before I could respond.

"Enough. Alex calm down and treat Thomas with ze respect he needs. Thomas, you also calm down and please try not to kill Alex." Lafayette ordered. I nodded and backed off. Laf had lost his boyfriend to the kidnappings, Hercules mulligan. He was unsure of his powers, but he could use them well when he wanted too. I believe Laf told me Herc could morph, which is why he always was the spy when we wanted test answers from Mrs. Ross.

Lafayette had a reason to be upset. Jefferson did not.

"So... who did you lose?" Jefferson asked, Lafayette gave a sad smile and pointed to a picture of him and Hercules.

"Hercules Mulligan. I assume you recognize the name, non?" Jefferson nodded slowly. "I don't believe they have told us yet who was taken, you know, yes?" Jefferson stared out a window, still acting distant.

"James Madison." He breathed out, as if the name pained him to say. Lafayette's face filled with shock and grief.

"Non, you are joking," Lafayette forced a laugh "Very funny, now who did they truly take mon ami?" Jefferson looked lafayette in the eyes and nodded, Lafayette understood hat he meant by the nod and pulled Jefferson into a light hug. "Not the sweet young monsuior Madison! he was positive of powers!" I nodded

"I was thinking of that too, at first it seemed the kidnappings only happened to the ones  unsure or afraid of their powers, but now they have Madison... Something doesn't add up here." Jefferson nodded hesitantly in agreement.

"It should've been me..." He whispered, and while I agreed, he doesn't need more on his mind,

"It should of been no one. don't blame yourself." I soothed. Jefferson gave a weak smile and Lafayette patted his back. I wish John we're here... he always knows how to handle stuff like this. But I haven't seen him since middle school.

Lafayette's head perked up, using his telepathy I assume.

"I hear him!" Lafayette exclaimed, Jefferson's eyes lit up from their sunken state, hope being restored.

"Who?" He asked excitedly, Lafayette smiled widely,

"Hercules!" Jefferson's shoulder's slumped a bit. Obviously disappointed. But he kept a strained smile.

"What'd he say?" I asked, perking up from the chair. Lafayette frowned and stayed silent, responding to Hercules I assume.

Lafayette POV

'This isn't my home... I'll be home soon... a few more minutes, just a few more.' I heard Hercules think, I didn't understand what he was talking about, and I knew the signal might not reach him, but I've gotten this far, it's worth a shot.

'Hercules? What's going on? Are you okay?' Herc responded with a small 'Laf?' and I smiled. I could get through to him.

'Yes, it's me mon amour. Where are you?' I asked, it took Herc a while to respond.

'I... don't know... There are rooms fit for two people each, their kind of like cages, cells. If we don't listen to the Leader, we get hurt. I've never actually gotten hurt, but I heard some kid screaming and crying yesterday, he didn't listen.' Torture. They were being Tortured.

'A leader... who's the leader?' I asked.

'We don't know.' I sighed.

'What do you know then?'

'Their coming for you next. Be safe my love.'
