I was finally on the road heading down to the river front to meet up with Tony. I was praying I didn't forget anything because that would just be my luck. The little thoughts in my head were getting to me especially with the black figure that I have seen twice today. I've been trying to ignore that I even saw it but the imagine keeps popping up in my head.

I kept on driving ignoring my thoughts because today was a big day and an exciting day. I finally arrive at the river at 11:43, this gives me enough time to set up before Tony gets here. I grab everything from the trunk of my car, and found a perfect spot to lay everything out on the grass. I laid the blanket down and set the food on top of it. It was a nice sunny day out, not too hot though. There was also no wind so the blanket wouldn't fly away. This was honestly the perfect picnic weather.

I checked the time on my phone and it was 12:07, and Tony was nowhere to be found. I was assuming he was just running a little late today. He still hasn't texted me back at all this morning so I was starting to get a little worried. I tried to even call him and there was no answer from him. I laid down on the blanket and looked up at the clouds for about 5 minutes. As I was just laying there, I felt something hit my head. Whatever just hit my head hurt, and I jumped up real quick. I looked back down at the blanket to see a wheel from a skateboard. I then see from the distant what look like a dude running my way to come get it. As this person got closer and closer, I then realize this person was a girl.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, did that hit you?" Said the girl.
"Yeah it hit me in the head but I think I'm alright, what happened for your wheel to come all the way over here?" I said as I was holding my head from the pain.
" I was skating and when I went to do a hard flip, I landed too hard and my wheel busted off. Are you sure you're alright? You're holding your head. Come with me I have some ice back in my car." The girl said as she grabbed my hand to go with her.

I followed her to her car and she made me an ice pack. While she was making it, she kept looking me up and down and my face slowly got red and I just looked away.

"Well I'm Emma but you can just call me Em, what's your name?"
"My name is Liz."
"Well Liz, what's a cutie like you doing out here by yourself with a picnic set up?"
"Today is my boyfriend and I's one year and I'm waiting for him to get here to see the picnic I had set up for us. The river front is where we met at so I thought I'd be cute if we spent our one year here."
"So there is a boy or at least someone in the picture, well it's 12:42, what time was he suppose to meet you here?"
"He was suppose to be here around 12, but he hasn't answered my texts or calls today. I don't know where he is at but it's starting to worry me. I care and lov-" as Em cut me off.
"Yeah, yeah, I get it, I'm going to be straight with you, I don't think he's going to show up if he hasn't already."
"He's never done anything like this before though"
"Well there's a first for everything, how about I join you since he isn't going to show?"
"I mean I guess that could work"
"Alright cutie" she said and I couldn't help but let my face turn red.

She walked my back to the picnic I had set up, and of course Tony never showed. We sat there and ate the food I had packed and Em really didn't talk much after that. I have never been able to see myself with a girl or even liking one more then friends, but Em just has a special thing to her. What am I saying, I couldn't ever go for a girl. She helped me pick everything up and walked me back to my car.

"I hope I made your day a little bit better since your boy toy never showed, you have any plans later?"

I checked my phone to see if I had any calls or texts from Tony and I still haven't yet.

"Well I guess I don't, why do you ask?"
"I was going to ask if I could come back to your place for a little?"
"I mean my mom won't be home so that will be fine."
"Great, I'll follow you back to your house."

It was around 5 when we both hopped into our cars to head back to my house. I honestly was a little upset that Tony never showed up, but meeting Emma really made up for the day. She seems like a really good friend. I was nervous to bring home someone I just met today but she seemed like someone I was able to trust.
