I opened my eyes and felt I was on a lush bed of soft grass and not the forest dirt I passed out on. I raised my head to look around and seen the most beautiful garden I'd ever witnessed. All kinds of trees and manicured shrubbery as far as I could see. Flower beds placed here and there into a beautiful colorful sea. If I could imagine such a beautiful sight, I had to be dead and in heaven. I blinked a couple times and sat up. I went to hold my head in my hands, - wait. Shouldn't I be in pain? I hit my head hard.

Oh, God. I am dead and that's why I feel no pain. I began to panic as I took short breaths and clutched my chest. I head a muffled giggle in front of me and distracted from my inner turmoil of dying I looked up and my eyes scanned the horizon until I found a stunning woman who seemed to glow with a golden ring. She was in an all-white ethereal looking dress with a spiked golden crown. She was sitting at a beautiful green table made of vines and had flowers sprouting from it. She motioned me to come over with her wrist and offered a chair next to her.

"Come here my child, we have much to discuss before you go back. I can only hold you here so long without consequence." Her voice flowed and rang through my ears, was her voice made of bells? I slowly got up with caution in case I suddenly felt all the pain I knew I should be in. I started to take small steps toward the glowing woman and suddenly I was pulled through the air and sat into the chair. "I know you're cautious, but I seriously don't have long with you and there's much we need to discuss." The woman wove her hand over the table and out sprouted a tea pot and two teacups. She began pouring tea into the two cups and sighed.

"I'm sorry for what's become of your life my darling. If I had known I wouldn't have given you the extra soul and you could've help me here in the garden." The beautiful woman sighed, and I began to race with questions; who was she, why am I here, where are we, and how did this table grow a tea pot? "I'm the Moon Goddess, you're here because my following spirit got too close and we needed to intervene, you're here in my garden palace, and it grew a tea pot because I asked it too." She smiled slightly.

"I didn't say any of that out loud. How did you know I was asking those questions?" I asked in a shaky voice, I had to have died or this is a trippy fever dream. My hands twiddled on the teacup she handed me. "Wait- did you say extra soul? What does that even mean?" I set the tea up down, my stomach churned. What is my life right now?

"Yes, my beautiful Ella Tragus. I gave you an extra soul, but I can't explain that now. Just know things are going to change for you and that I am so extremely broken at how your life turned out. Please take a drink of your tea darling." She lifted her cup to her lips and smiled at me. I took a tentative sip of the tea finding a sweet blend I'd only ever gotten at Mildred's house; it was my favorite. I was just more confused, why bring it up if you can't talk about it? I'm much more confused than when I woke up. If she's a Moon Goddess why is she talking to me, I've never prayed in my life?

"I brought you here so we could fix you up, your father has done some unforgivable damage and my spirit follower did not help you as I sent them too. Let me see your head" She took my head in her hands and I looked into her eyes as she pulled her palms above my wounds seemingly healing them. They were a striking molten gold color and full of compassion and love. I winced as she moved down to my cheek and then to my arms. "There you should feel just fine when you wake up now" She smiled at me and placed her hands in her lap.

"Thank you, I'm not sure what's going on, but thank you." I could barely speak above a whisper. I brought the tea to my mouth again taking a bigger sip. "The tea is lovely, it's just as Mildred makes it." I smiled at the thought of her. I can't wait to tell her I've met someone else who makes her secret tea!

"Ah yes, Mildred she's doing well with the loss of her Mate. I think I shed a tear when he passed too. It's Wolfs Ear tea. You can only grow a few bundles a year. She's very kind to share with you." My nose crinkled at the teas name and the Moon Goddess laughed at me. "Yes, Wolfs Ear is very rare. Would you like to know where it gets its name?" She asked me a question and a sparkle flickered in her golden eyes. I nodded quickly, why would you name a tea after a wolfs body part?

"An old alpha wolf was challenged to his title and he fought his opponent with valiant effort. Though just before winning his sixth win. The opposing wolf nicked his whole ear off. It fell to the dirt and was left for 7 days and 7 nights before sprouting up a green leaf. It grew to become a sweet vibrate tea you taste today. It's said that each leaf holds a portion of the love the alpha held for his pack and that's why it's so sweet and it's flavor changes every time you have it." Her story was short and sweet but held a light behind her eyes as if there was more behind it.

"So I'm drinking a wolfs ear?" I set the tea down quickly wanting to find a bubble gum branch to brush my teeth with.

"Oh dear, no. It's just leaves now; no wolf left." She giggles and it was like bells went off again. "Though it seems my dear you're ready for something greater." She said to me as she reached out to me and place her palm against my forehead before I could stop her. "I'll see you again my sweet child." And then my vision went black again.

I was awake, but I couldn't move I was stuck in a dark room. I looked around, but there was only darkness behind me and in front of me. It was so difference from the garden I had started to feel comfortable in. It was massive, the darkness, I didn't feel claustrophobic, but quite the opposite. I felt small and endless. I gasp and started to panic as the darkness seemingly entered my skin. I could feel it enter through every pore. Then in the distance I seen something bright. I tried to run to it, my feet failing me. It was coming closer to me, which seemed more threatening than me moving towards it. It was bringing light closer and I was thankful as the darkness seemed to leave my body.

The light was hurling towards to at speeds only scientists could measure. It was bright and warming. As the bright light got closer it became clearer that it wasn't a light. It was instead a wolf; its fur was white as snow and didn't hold a blemish of color in it. It came closer and closer every leap and bound it made to get to me. My heart warmed and I could feel emotions wash out of me and into me like waves we were exchanging. It stopped abruptly in front of me and it began to crawl slowly toward me the last few feet. I kneeled and reached out to touch it fur. It looks to soft and so beautiful. I could feel tears well and fall on my cheeks. The emotions were running rampant I could feel an exchange we were going through. I felt them swirl around us and crackle as I touch the fur of the wolf. I could feel its care, adoration, and hopeful spin into my system as I exchanged my own startled, entranced, and hopeful mix with theirs.

Why was I hopeful?

I looked the wolf in it eyes and it shine with human like adoration and affection. They were a startling dark blue you could only compare to the depths of the ocean. I put my head onto the wolfs and kept my hand in it fur. I sighed and my shoulders sagged. I was suddenly very tired. I heard the wolf whine at me and felt it nudge my head up.

"I'll see you soon, I'll find you." I said to it as I brushed its head again. The wolf froze and before I could register anything else my vision went black again.
