Blinked Too Fast

Every drop of the angry rain

I blinked

I blinked so fast..

Too fast..

To get rid of the damp that was building behind my lids

I blinked too fast..

Every drop of the angry rain matched the drop of my own angry rain

I blinked too fast..

Droplets splashed through the pavements

I can't decipher them anymore

I blinked too fast..

Thunder bloomed through me

Was it really the thunder?

I blinked too fast..

It's slower now

Oh, wait, no.. That's just the rain

I blinked too fast..

Willing the thunders to go away

Willing the droplets to fall away

Willing my body to carry me away

I blinked too fast..
