Third Person POV

"Mom, can I play outside?" A little kid pleased at her mother while pointing at her window inside the room.

"I'm sorry hun but you can't," The little girl got sad by her mother's reply but still managed to smile.

"No, it's okay, maybe next time, when I'm cured," The little girl hugs her mom and went straight to her bed to read books.

"Love, it really breaks my heart everytime our child asks if she can go play outside," The mother's voice cracks as she talks to her husband.

"I know, I know," The husband pats his wife's head trying to stop her from tearing up.

"Why can't I play outside?" Little girl talks to her plushies while having a tea party.

Zarina's POV

When I was young di ako pinapayagang lumabas ng bahay kasi madali akong mapagod.

I was diagnosed with 40% lung capacity and a chronic disease called Asthma.

I wasn't expecting to have some friends in our area, because of my illness.

Walang nakakakilala sakin dahil nga hindi naman ako lumalabas.

As an innocent child, I don't really know what's going on with my body. Hindi ko nga alam ano yang asthma na yan and what can it cause me.

There's this time na nagtampo ako kina mommy at daddy dahil sa rason na hindi nila ako pinapayagang lumabas.

Kaya I ended up escaping the house.

I badly wanna experience what I child would do outside the house.

I wanna make my own childhood memories.

I wanna have some friends.

Gusto kong maranasang makipaglaro sa kapwa ko bata.

I always thought of that.

After escaping, I went straight to the playground near the area. Doon ko nakilala si Aidan, Aidan Lennox.

Isa lang naman siyang batang lampa, at sa sobrang payat niya akala mo isang ihip nalang ng hangin tumba na.

He was a wimpy kid back then.

I was on a swing while drinking my favorite drink. The little Aidan kid approached me, "Bata, patikim," I stared at him confusingly that time because I wasn't expecting someone to talk to me, since I'm not well-known in the neighborhood, dahil di naman talaga ako lumalabas.

"Ayoko," Nakasimangot na sagot ko, ewan ko ba't ako nagtataray nung time na 'yon, maybe because I don't really have communication skills, and it was my first time talking to a kid at the same age.

"Eh, ang sungit mo naman, sige na, please," He clasped his hand and started begging, at dahil sa kakulitan niya pinainom ko sa kanya yung iniinom ko.

That day inatake ako. Naglaro kasi kami ng habulan ni Aidan. Kaya I ended up being hospitalized, I have a weak lungs and stage 4 severe persistent asthma pala.

After that incident, mom hired a personal yaya for me until nag highschool na ako, I told them I can take care of myself and I don't need a yaya anymore since I'm in highschool already, that would be awkward having someone following me around.

In highschool, I met Cara, she helped me looked for my inhaler, PE time namin yun. Tapos medyo nagpupumilit ako sumali kahit sinabihan na ako ng professor namin na exempted na daw ako. Kaya ayon bumigay yung baga ko, natatawa nalang ako tuwing na nirerecall ko yung panahong iyon.
