Midnight's POV

It's been 3 years since Skylar fueled against the wolf guy. I saw that guy roaming around before, but he seemed to be looking for something more than hunting. I guess that thing he was looking for was a fight. Since that day, Skylar has changed. He hasn't drastically changed, but he's gotten more serious with dueling. He said if something like that happens again, he might not get lucky again.

So we practiced. Quite a lot. By now, Skylar's an expert. He doesn't duel with random people, but he does know how to duel when he needs to. Our kingdoms have gotten better, too. Galaxy said that she made killing rabbits for fur illegal in at least 8 countries since that duel. I made owls stop being so forgotten about, and I made them legal pets in a lot of states. I flew around, making sure everything was okay, and then I saw him.

That wolf again. He was sprinting, determined to get to something. I already knew what that was. I landed back in my castle and I grabbed my phone and called him. "Hello?" I asked, trying to remain calm. "Midnight? Why are you calling me at 3 a.m.? Is everything okay?" He asked, clearly tired.

"NO, EVERYTHING IS NOT OKAY!" I bursted, pacing through my throne room. "That wolf, he came back! I saw him running towards your castle when I was flying!" I heard Skylar choke.  "Are you SURE it was him?" I thought of the features I saw. "Does he have dark red fur, three hair strands that are slightly brighter red, and light and dark brown paws?" Skylar gulped. "Um...yeah..." I sighed. "Then I'm pretty sure that's him."

"I'm scared..." Skylar said. "I think you'll be fine, you've trained for this!" I heard a glass break, an alarm wail, and Skylar scream. "Skylar?" I asked. I heard Skylar try to yell, but got muffled, and I heard fast footsteps. I heard a thud. "SKYLAR?!" The hung up tone rang through my ears.

Skylar's POV

When I woke up from passing out, I was in the arena. "Oh! You woke up." Somebody said. "I turned around, and I saw him. I glared at him. He chuckled. "It's been a few years, huh? Sorry for the rough entry, the doors and windows were all locked." I scoffed. "Yeah, to keep people like you out." He taunted me. "That worked well, didn't it~?" I gasped, blushing a bit, to my surprise, and I turned away. He chuckled.

"I made you some hot chocolate after I disabled that annoying alarm." I looked at him. He had a hot chocolate in his hand. I looked at it, then at him. "How can I be sure it's not poisoned?" He chuckled, and took a sip of it. "If it's poisoned, I'm gonna die." We waited for like 30 minutes. Nothing happened. "Fine." I snatched the cup off his hands. I grabbed his sleeve and wiped off the rim of the cup, since he drank from it, too.

"Okay, now let's do what I came here for." He grabbed his sword. "This time, the winner gets a reward." I giggled, and he turned away. "If I win, you can't come back." I said. He smirked, and I felt myself blushing. "And if I win," he said in a deep voice,

"I get to have YOU."
