Minerva McGonagall sits in her office in Harrys first year. She slips a notebook from her drawer, her heart swelling with pride and writes the name Harry Potter under the page titled Gryffindor Quidditch Team. She closed the book before placing it carefully back in the drawer. She then pulls out an old wooden box and rummages in it for a few seconds before pulling out an envelope. Inside the envelope is a letter and a photograph. The letter reads:
Dearest Minnie,
Hope youre doing well. Im fine, driving Lily up the wall as usual, she sends her love by the way.
You know how I told you how you could never find a seeker as good as me. (I know James was a chaser but lets just roll with it) Well, even the brilliant are sometimes mistaken. I have found (made) you a brilliant new replacement that will one day outshine his old man in the leagues. Enclosed is a photograph of your new prodigy so you can assess his outstanding skills for yourself. He is chasing the cat for practise so he will be unbeatable by the time hes at Hogwarts. Youngest Quidditch player in a century!
I guarantee it, Minnie and Im never wrong, although you will never admit it.
Missing you and Hogwarts terribly,
Lots of love,
James
P.S. Sirius says his marriage proposal still stands.
Wiping away a single tear that was dripping down her cheek and chuckling to herself, she smiled down at a picture of a black haired baby zooming around on a broom, chasing a fluffy cat and a pair of long legs chasing after it and a woman with fiery ginger hair laughing hysterically in the corner.
Right again, Mr Potter, she whispers. Right again.

FanfictionJust some short stories I wrote cos I have too much free time. I don't own any of the characters (unless I say otherwise) they belong to our Queen J.K. Rowling. I also don't own any art in the stories.
