"Rosy! You gotta get ready for school quick, we are gonna be late!" Lifting my eyelids open, quickly scrunching shut as I throw a arm over my face. "Give me a couple minutes!" I call back down, sitting up and stretching my back, squinting as my vision adjusts the the light shining through the window. 'Great, another day at the hell hole' I think to myself sitting cross legged on the floor in front of a mirror, tying my hair back and smudging some concealer under my eyes. ————30 minutes later——— The bus shakes as it rides over the uneven road while I look down at my phone scrolling through my Instagram, past all the selfies of orange skinned, duck faces with bleached long hair, along with the occasional offensive meme or depressing quote. 'God why is this what people want to look like, it's...' My thoughts got cut off when I came across a picture of... of Emma, her hair cut short, surrounded by friends and support. Sighing I turn my phone off and turn to look out the window, 'she's probably forgotten all about me' I smirk to myself feeling stupid for even considering that she still thinks about me. 'I wonder if Emma found a boyfriend or something, it wouldn't be so hard, she's always been so beautiful, inside and out' The bus comes to a stop as the doors swing open and everyone rushes off. I walk to form early to sit down and read for a bit before registration but my mind is elsewhere thinking of the picture of Emma looking so happy with out me, I can't explain it but it hurt, it hurt so much, my heart was a aching. 'I really miss her'. "What ya thinking bout?" A annoyingly loud and obnoxious voice chimes in my ears snapping me out of my daze. "Ah, Sophie.
