The ground beneath them shook. Somehow she kept her balance; still as a statue. He tried grabbing anything that would keep him upright.
"Tyler, what's happening?" He felt a cold breeze run down his back. Tyler said nothing, eyes glowing bright purple, her skirt twisting with the wind; That came seemingly from nowhere. Her short hair nowhere near her face. He grabbed the side of a table and tried to stand his ground but instantly lost his balance and visited his very close friend, the floor.
When he opened his eyes he was on... a bed? In a house he'd never seen before. Where was Tyler? Did the spell work? Sam was hit by a painful realization. He grabbed him head, when a door slowly crept open.
"Oh! I didn't think you'd be up for a few more days." She scrunched her face up."What do you remember?"
Sam looked at the strange girl in front of him. She had changed into a black shirt tucked into jeans. When did she change?
"How long- where is my bag?!" Sam went to stand up, but fell on the floor, he decided would be his best friend by now. He looked at Tyler with disbelief, she just stifled a giggle and went to the kitchen. After a few moments the girl came back with his bag. he searches through it. Thank god everything was still in there.
"You probably want to know why you are here and not the shop. You've been asleep for a few days, and I got a wee bit scared you wouldn't wake up. The Elders are coming by to see why my spell didn't work." Tyler helped him back on the bed and stepped into what Sam thought was a closet. She came back with a change of clothes and a toothbrush.
"You might need this," she said with a forced smile.
It was around afternoon when four women entered the home. Tyler was in the middle of stuffing vegan donuts in her face, when the youngest looking one coughed. Sam felt power radiating from all of them. It was similar to Tyler's, but something extra. Authority.
"Would you mind joining me in the kitchen? I want to explain the happenings without his input." The women walked into the kitchen. Tyler eyed Sam, gave him a small grin, and walked into the kitchen. Sam sat on the bed, nibbling on the donut. What happened a few days ago? Had it really been days? He lay back on the bed and rubbed his eyes hard. This whole happening was ridiculous.
By the time the women left the house the sun was setting. Tyler appeared from the kitchen with bowls of soup. She laughed as she handed Sam the bowl. She turned on Netflix and slurped away at the soup. Had there always been a television in here? Sam stared at the bowls contents.
"It's just chicken noodle soup, silly," Tyler handed him a roll, "would you like a roll? I do have non-vegan ones." Sam nodded, trying the soup, it was the best soup he's ever had.
Sam knew deep down he would have to fix this. His problem was only going to get bigger, but he couldn't tell Tyler, she'd come to his rescue ever since kindergarten. He shouldn't have asked her for help but he still came to her with this problem and that was his first mistake.
