You and Joey had been friends since 5th grade. You guys were already 16. You realized you had feelings for him one day during summer when he went over to your house for your brothers birthday party and he started talking to other girls. May I have you know, this was 3 years ago!

You entered the school and headed straight to your locker. You were in the same grade as your brother Aaron. So you both had the exact same classes along with Joey.
Joey: Hey y/n
You: oh hey Joey
You said while stuffing all of your books into your locker. You realized Joey didn't leave so you turned around and stared at him.
Joey: what?
You: what do you want Birlem?
Joey: Aaron told me to be the nice person that I am and walk you too class cause he has some business to take care of.
You: you don't have too, go talk to Lexi or something
Joey: what do you mean?
You: You're dating her aren't you? She's your girlfriend Joey.
Joey: Oh, you heard about that...
He said while scratching the back of his neck.
You: you guys literally go everywhere together, I'm surprised she's not here with your right now...
You said grabbing the rest of your books.
Lexi:babyyyy
You: see
You said turning around and continued to walk away to your first class.
Joey: wai-
Joey yelled getting cut off by Lexi pressing her lips onto his.

You decided to sit towards the back today because you weren't trying to deal with peoples nonsense.
Aaron: Joey told me you didn't let him walk you to class.
You: okay so? Why does it matter Aaron?
Aaron: because you like him
You: Say it louder I don't think Antarctica heard you!
The girl next to you turned around and shushed you.
You: bleh!
You said sticking your tongue out at her. She scowled at you but you didn't care. Joey walked in a few minutes late and took his regular seat right next to you. You just turned the opposite way. It angered you that after all this time he probably had no clue that you liked him.
Mr. T: okay class you guys will be having a project due Thursday, please choose your partner wisely and do not fool around.
Joey: hey y/n, do you wanna be partners?
You turned around trying to see if anyone else was open to being partnered up with but there wasn't, besides Lexi.
You: don't you wanna work with your girlfriend?
Joey: gosh y/n, can I talk to you outside?
You: well you kinda-
Before you knew it Joey was dragging you outside of the classroom into the hallway until you guys stood face to face.
You: what Birlem?
You spit out trying not to make eye contact.
Joey: Okay, I'm just gonna say it, I like you, I have liked you for the longest time, Aaron and basically all the guys know, even your parents! Gosh,y/n, you make me smile every day and when you're upset it breaks my heart knowing that such an amazing girl like you it sad and not feeling their best. You bring happiness to me and the only reason why I have dated and am dating Lexi is a distraction from you, I've tried to forget about you but I can't, I only have eyes for you and its crazy. No one has ever made me fall this hard for them except for you. So please, do you feel the same way?
At this point you had tears forming in your eyes. You finally heard Joey, your crush for over 5 years, confess his love for you.
You: Joey, of course, I feel the same way!
You say jumping into his arms.
Joey: I think this is where I ask you to be my girlfriend, so will you?
You: yes!
You say and Joey leans in to kiss you and you kiss back.
You guys didn't notice the class had followed you guys and heard your entire conversation and recorded it, posting it all over snapchat and Instagram.
Lexi: baby what about us?!
Joey: I'm sorry Lexi, but I like Y/n.
Lexi stormed off into the bathroom and who knows what she did.

It's been about 5 months since you and Joey started dating. Everything has been going well and your relationship is as healthy as it can be. Your friends love Joey and Joeys friends love you. Who knew, all you guys had to do was confess your feelings towards each other.
