Sitting in class, Lillith stared at her desk as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. She was deep in thought about what happened. It was like there where bricks were thrown to her and she didn't know how to recover.
'The principle can be a liar if so it would be a sick joke which would just ensure students to tell their parents. The steel barricades definitely cannot be a joke. Meaning the principle is telling the truth, and really does intend on eliminating the people who are going to tell the authorities. That would also mean he realy does want us to kill each other. First things first would be to know who are good people and who aren't, second things second, don't make enemies, don't trust anyone.'
She caught herself too deep in thought and she shook her head. Looking up she was met with Summer trying to balance a pencil on her upper lip.
'Ok, I can trust Summer and Katsu, but others...we can't take the chance.'
"Hey Lilith," Summer said placing a hand on Lilith's shoulder making her go stiff "it's OK, don't worry, we will live, there is no doubt about it!"
Lilith widened her eyes slightly, Summer knew her too well. Lilith became at ease and thanked her friend as she gave her a toothy grin.
Walking out of class, Summer and Lilith planned on going to there next class, though it was already 3:15.
'End of the school day? Already? That must of meant, we were asleep for a long time, how long, and why so long? What if-' Lilith couldn't finish thinking, for her train of thoughts were interrupted by her friends.
"Schools over, already? Well, I'm not entirely complaining." Summer said smiling
"Summer, this isn't the time to be joking around." Katsu said getting annoyed
"Oh you're just upset you have homework on the first day of school." Summer said skipping around
"No I'm upset because we just walked into a school where we have to murder our classmates." Katsu said "stop trying to dodge the truth, it's best if we can actually be real with each other."
Summer stopped, no longer skipping to the beat in her heart, for it had stopped. She blankly stood back faced to the two of her friends.
"Summer, Katsu, stop. No more fighting especially on the first day of school!" Lillith said, "Katsu apologize."
"I'm only telling the truth, Lillith. I have no reason to apologize." Katsu said
Lillith didn't want to admit it, though she was on Katsu's side. She didn't say anything but ran up to Summer and gave her a hug. The two shared their body heat in the cold and held tightly to one another.
"Katsu, get over here." Lillith muffled out from Summer's sweater
Katsu rolled his eyes playfully and approached the two girls as he wrapped his slender arms around them. Resting his head on Summer's, they all held onto each other. Lillith knew the fear Summer was going through, tightening her grip on Summer Lillith buried her head in her gorgeous red hair.
"I think it's safe to say we are all scared," Lillith said "though we will win, we will survive, we can do anything together."
There was a moment where Lillith felt cold, for a split second, she had lost a bit of hope. Through the warmth rushed back to her, and she closed her eyes, enjoying this moment.
After a good minute of warmth, they all separated. Walking down the empty school halls everyone went home beside the kids in clubs. Lillith started walking backward as she talked to her two friends.
"I'm just saying, Reo, is most likely adopted, he looks nothing like me and acts nothing like me."
"Yeah sure, both of you have black hair, and brown eyes, nothing alike whatsoever," Katsu said rolling his eyes
