We are taught not to stand in the Main Street
So I simply lay on the road instead
The black top I lie on radiates heat
As I lay thoughts race around in my head
And at night I find it calming to do
No one is around I am alone
I gaze up, the sky seems a darker blue
I can see more clearly in my own zone
I like solitude, it makes my thoughts clear
Normally, they are very confusing
But the calmness of the scene lets me hear
All my thoughts seem to be accusing
On the black top I begin to wonder
What is life without a little thunder?

Poetry"Never stand in the road," is what I was always told. "Well alright," I reply, "I'll simply lay down instead."
