Hope is a cruel beast, but it's what keeps us going!
(。・ω・。)"ARIA" mum thundered from downstairs, "its quarter to 7. Don't make me come up!"
Holy cheesecakes!! Did I hear quarter to seven?
Great. First day of college and I'm legit sleeping in? Believe it or not but I take nearly an hour to get dressed.. The struggle is real people. I gotta get my ass movin'.I slapped myself lazily, "Well done A".
Gathering all my might, I pulled myself up and got my needs done. I could already smell the aroma of bacon and sausage being sauteed.
"Hmmm... Breakfast." I sniffed..
Than, I went to the washroom and took a quick shower, pulled the towel around me, put my chestnut brown hair in a bun and turned the knobs of my wardrobe open.
The rays of the sun were quite convincing but I sensed a shower later. So, I switched on my phone to check the weather updates for prudence.
Yes, Of course, I dress with caution. And hey, I want to leave an impression on my first day at college too.
"17°?? Hmmm.. Seems fine to go light but also try to stand out." I exclaimed.
I glanced over to my tops section and picked a cute cropped baby pink top, jumped into a baggy blue denim and paired my outfit with a sleek black bag. Accessories are my absolute fav thing to add to that extra seasoning for my fit. I took out a cute golden avocado (yes it is golden) necklace and hooked it around my neck, then jumped into my white Chuck Taylor kicks. Deciding to go minimal with my make up, I sat myself in front of the mirror, pushed my bangs away with a clip, sprayed some toner onto my bare face, slapped on some moisturizer next and lavishly put on sunblock, and blended a light amount of foundation over it. Then I lined my upper waterline of my eye with the thin stroke of an eyeliner and winged a small cat's wing at the end, tinted my lips a deep cherry red shaded lip tint to compliment the color of my top.I checked my phone to see if I was on track and saw that it read 8 o'clock. I realised that I took shorter than expected. Calmly, I adjusted my bangs back in place, squeezed some hair serum on my palm and ran them through my hair and finally, spritz my favourite Her Signature perfume and dashed out the door.
"Good morning sleeping beauty", my dad smiled at me merrily, as I rushed down making my way around the dinning table at the empty chair next to Kelly "Marathon nights again eh?"
My dad sure knows that I'm a huge Fangirl of Korean Dramas. I stayed up late the previous night watching Her Private Life, the latest K-Drama on air.
"Oh, you bet. Her Private Life marathon" and I winked at him and set my backpack behind my chair.
"Aria you do, very well, know that today's the first day of college right?" My mum turned to me in annoyance, taking off the gloves from preparing breakfast and sat herself next to dad.
I took a chair beside my sister who was mocking me with her tongues out and spilled the truth, "Yes mum. I set my alarm early. Unfortunately, it broke down again". With that, I gulped down my glass of orange juice and grabbed a sandwich across the table, deciding to skip on the Bacon.
"Once regular classes starts, I'd rather not catch you Marathon-ing or Fangirl-ing on daily basis, hear me?"
"Mum, Fangirls are not made, they're Born." I quoted Seong Deok Mi, from the drama I am currently watching and snorted.
