Aim for the sky, but move slowly, enjoying every step along the way. It is all those little steps that make the journey complete.

Aditi
The day had finally arrived. We stood at the airport, from where we were supposed to be picked up. I had come with Anni. We stood at a corner, observing the going-ons.
Some distance from us, a girl was standing alone. She had braided her hair in cornrows, had multiple piercings along the ear we could see. She wore a miniskirt and a crop top with red and white stripes. She was rapidly typing away on her iPhone. Huh.
Farther out stood a gang of the usual high spirited gang of idiots high on testosterone, jostling each other and cackling like jackdaws. Huh.
I glanced at my watch impatiently. Khushi's flight would be here any minute. There was still an hour for Mahi's flight. The trip directors were supposed to come after an hour and a half. Tani promised to be here in 5 minutes.
I turned back to Anni. She was sipping her cold coffee, going through all our documents, noting all sown in a tiny notepad. Sometimes, she seemed scarily like a grown-up.
Then I remembered I had to do her hair up today.
She wore a denim jacket with numerous pockets both inside and outside, jeans, and a sunhat. She has something about tanning. I wore black jeggings, a polo t-shirt and did my hair in a ponytail.
Suddenly, there was a commotion. A flashy sports car stopped outside. Curious, we went towards it, leaving our half-eaten sandwiches and cold coffees. A bunch of girls stepped a put. Leading them was a tall, vaguely Caucasian girl, wearing sunglasses big enough t obe embedded wtih their own solar panels, shorts short enough to be bought from the infant section, and a tote bag, that, in itself, insulting. All wore matching tank tops and had identical high pitched whines.
Anni huffed. "Don't tell me we have to deal with those salamanders too."
I aimed for optimistic."Perhaps we won't? Because, you know, this mean girl stuff is more common in movies and stuff..."
"Yeah, sorry," Anni said. She seemed positively dejected at lack of a prospect of a fight.
On that happy note, a welcome sound echoed behind us.
"long time no see, huh?" Tani said. We turned back and laughed. She gave us a hug in turn. she looked cute as always, wearing a top with block prints, jeans.
She turned towards the Miss Flashy Sports Car, who was now busy flirting with the hyenas. she wrinkle her nose.
"You know her?" Anni prompted.
"Yeah, ut who wants to talk about her? Tell me whats on with You", she said, punching my arm.
