Adrenaline coursed through their veins as they ran through the dark alleyways. The two siblings ran as far and as fast as they could, but to no avail as they headed towards a dead end. Overhead noises sounding like helicopter propellers, seemed ever so near. Police sirens and spotlights soon followed and other factions of the government swooped down from helicopters. There was no escape in sight. Shadowy figures appeared in the moonlight. Those figures were soldiers, they stepped out of cars and some were even propelled from several hovering helicopters. They were surrounded by their enemies. Their luck had ended. Their punishment was too unbareable to even think of. A car unlike the rest appeared, and its engine went silent. A moment passed before the figure appeared from the vehicle. Not only did the siblings luck run out, their lives took a drastic turn for the worse.Nathan Lysander, leader of a division that keeps "patients" in check in Sector Seven. They are known as Shatter because they break the hopes and dreams of anyone wanting to leave from that acursed hell. He was sharply dressed in a red Armani shirt and a silk striped tie, with sleek black pants that blended into the shadowy alley. The eighteen year old opened the door to his Chameleon colored, custom designed, Acari sports car. He emerged with a high powered megaphone in his hands. With a second of collective thinking, he spoke as though he was in a hurry. "Stand down. You're surrounded, and there's no escaping." he said, with a smug smile, "You're punishments will be less server if you just cooperate".
Lucilla the youngest sibling summoned her courage and stepped in front of her big brother Kyrillos. A determined and protective tone took over and replaced the fear she had had, as she spoke, "Let us go! You have no right to keep us in your...your prison!"
Kaleo yanked her back from confronting the large group.
Look little girl I don't have time for this quarrel of yours! He turns to one of the soldiers and issues a order. In an instant the armed guards turn their weapons onto the siblings, waiting for the command to fire.
Lucilla gritted her teeth in anger and frustration. "You can't kill us!" Her voice rang out creating a moment of silence. We're too important to the survival of the human race, she said.
Nathan stood there for a second, suprised like everyone else. Suddenly, he started laughing. The haunting noise echoed through the alleyway. After a few seconds, he stopped, looking straight into the young girl's eyes. "I don't have to kill you, but I can torture you, a deadly smile sides across his face and stares. His glare was the epitome of evil. There was no humanity left in him.
He walked towards the girl. Kaleo motions for her to get behind him, and she does. Nathan punches Ky and knocks him to the cold floor. Nathan kicks him around a little him out grabbing her by the neck. "You little bitch! If you honestly think I won't hurt you, then you're sadly mistaken! "Uncontrollable, psychotic laughter overcame Nathan letting his hands loosen enough for Lucilla to escape his grasp. She backed up a few steps, hand placed on her windpipe, before running into the arms of her petrified older brother. Nathan fell to his knees, and laughed a tyrannical laugh that brought a chill up ones spine. In a blink of an eye blood spewed out from vital areas from the bodies of the armed forces. It was like watching rain downpour; a bloody rain fall. Nathan was on the floor, he looked like he just had a anxiety attack. Words repeated from his mouth as he rocked back and forth to confort himself, roses are red violet are blue the soldiers fall down two by two. Each repeat of the "poem" was a cue for the dead fighters to collapse; a final command.
