A Day In My Life

Chapter 1

Today started as a perfectly normal day for me at least for a school day. But little did I know it would all change the minute they walked into my school. Now let's start at the very beginning.

Before school I'm hanging out in the library like I always do. When all of a sudden I'm being tapped on the shoulder and one of my headphones is pulled out which instantly pulls me out of my book. Then hear a voice saying "Hey, Natasha we have to go or we will be late for class!!"
"Oh crap, DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN NICO!!!!!" I reply as I look up at him, "You scared me half to death." Then I start to gather up my things right as I hear the 10 minute bell go off.
"Hey, Nico I thought that you said that we were about to be late when really we are good on time and I could still be reading right now for at least a couple more minutes." I retort angrily. "Yeah well technically we are good on time but I wanted to show you something AMAZING!!!!!!" Nico exclaimed. Oh I guess I should take some time to explain something's my name is Natasha Holt and this is my best friend since 6th grade Nico right now we are in 9th grade. So that means we are in high school now but considering everything, I am not excited at all about it because it's like I'm still waiting for something. But anyway let's get back to the story.
"Oh I'm sorry Nico I didn't know that you had something that you wanted to show okay just let me check these books out and then you can show me whatever it is that you want me to see." I say as I pick up a huge pile of books
"Are you checking out the whole library?" Nico jokes. At this I just ignore him because if he doesn't know by now that I'm a HUGE bookworm then there is a problem. I end up only checking out one of the books because I forgot that I had already read most of them multiple times and I wanted to read the one book of them that I hadn't read before. But I forget things really easily which makes it hard for me sometimes.

Nico is one of my only friends and he is the one that I can trust wholeheartedly because I have learned the hard way that you can't just trust anyone. I guess that is the reason I am rarely seen and so shy. Well I guess that and the fact that I have literally been bullied my entire life. So I follow Nico all the way upstairs to an even bigger area. But since it is so big, I accidentally get lost.

So I quickly pull out my phone and text Nico HELP, I lost you and I now there are a lot of the people that bullied me surrounding me!!!!! Not that long after that am I pulled out of the crowd by Nico and some weird guy who I have never met before. He is kind of tall with dark brown hair and piercing blue-green eyes. "Um....thank you......" I mutter barely above a whisper.
"Geez Nico you really weren't kidding she is SUPER quiet." The weird dude states so bluntly that it makes me blush a ton and attempt to hide behind Nico, which fails miserably considering I'm 5'10 and he is about 5'5, while holding my book closer to my chest. So then he FINALLY realizes that I don't know this strange dude that Nico wanted me to meet.
"Oh yeah you haven't met him yet...." he said turning to the other dude, "Percy this is Natasha, Natasha this is one of my other friends Percy."

Then Percy leaned forward and put his hand out for me to shake.
"Hey it's nice to meet you." "Um.....yeah I guess it is nice to meet you too......" I mumbled softly to my book. So softly that no could hear me. "Um....what was that? Hey Nico did you catch that or was it just me that couldn't hear her?" Percy asks as he puts his hand down and turns to Nico. "Oh um...I guess I should have warned you she is super shy and um...doesn't really like new people so it will take a little time for her to get to know you a bit. Also that was Natasha for nice to meet you too." Nico explained to Percy. Just then the 5 minute bell rings and I tell Nico "Hey we'd better get to class or we are going to be late!!!!"
"Oh yeah we wouldn't to be late because then you might explode." Nico exclaims jokingly.
"I will fight you!!!!!"
"Ok let's go!"
"Ok I lose!!!" I marveled as I run to class. As I leave I hear Percy say "Well she is weird. How can you be friends with her....."

As soon as I get to class I open up my book and begin to read to help to keep myself from crying when I feel my phone in my pocket buzz. So I pull it out to see a text from Nico that says Hey I'm sorry about how horrible Percy acted I know that you could hear what he was saying as you were leaving and I'm sorry I'm headed to class now so I'll see you in a bit. I smile at my phone as tears run down my cheeks while wiping the tears from my eyes. Just as I start to respond Nico comes in the room and sits down in the desk next to mine in the very back of the room (as always).

I begin to talk to him and just then Percy walks into the classroom with this SUPER hot blonde girl with dashing grey eyes. Then they begin looking around for an empty desk and I instantly hide behind my book. "What's the matter now???" Nico inquired as I pointed to where Percy is.
"Oh I forgot that he had this class with us...are you okay?"
"Yeah just as long as he doesn't come over here." I reply beside myself.
"Are you sure? You don't look it." "Yeah I'm sure I'm just tired I guess...." Nico looks unnerved at my reply but not for long because then Percy spots us in the very back. So he comes to the very back with the blonde girl who Nico is telling me that her name is Annabeth and they sit in the desks right next to us. With Annabeth in the desk next to mine and Percy in the desk on the other side of her. Just then the bell rings to start class. I continue reading my book as I dread the teacher coming in as for then I will have to stop reading and put my book away.

When I hear Annabeth ask "What's that you're reading there?" I instantly look up and look at her and point to myself. At this she just smiles and nods so I explain "Oh...um.....it's nothing much......"
"Well um.....what's it called?"
"Well...it is called The Naturals." I explain pretty quietly.

Just then the teacher walks in.
"Good morning sunshines today we have two new students---if you would please come up here and tell everyone your names and one thing about yourself." Miss. Luna addresses the class sweetly as always. Then Annabeth and Percy made their way up to the front of the classroom. While we weren't learning about anything yet I took this as an opportunity to open up my book and begin to read again. When I hear "Okay everyone eyes up here. Natasha put that book away."

But I'm too enraptured with my book to care and then Nico takes it away from me.
"Hey!!!" I exclaim
"Give me my book back!!!"
"Only if you pay attention."
"Okay fine." I grumble miserably. "Thank you Nico." Miss. Luna chimed in.

Then it came time for Percy and Annabeth to introduce themselves. Percy went first "Hi, my name is Percy Jackson and um...I love blue." The class giggled at that. Then it was Annabeths' turn "Um...hi, my name is Annabeth Chase and I am a HUGE bookworm." Then somebody shouted "HEY, SHE'S JUST LIKE NATASHA!!!!!!" I turn pale at this and try to hide. When I hear someone else say "WHOSE THAT??"
"OH YOU KNOW SHE IS THE SUPER WEIRD GIRL THAT ALWAYS SITS IN THE BACK OF THE CLASS."
"OH YEAH SHE IS SO WEIRD I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY SHE IS STILL ALIVE SHE SHOULD REALLY JUST KILL HERSELF AND GET IT OVER WITH!!!!!" With this the rest of the class just chimes in with "YEAH THAT WOULD MAKE IT BETTER ON ALL OF US!!!!!"

Then I can't take it anymore and I run out of the classroom with my book sobbing as I leave I hear Nico coming after me and then yells something back to the class. Then I hear more people running after me. So I look over my shoulder and I don't see Nico instead I see a bunch of people that I don't know. So I run even faster and then end up collapsing from an Asthma attack. The guys eventually catch up with me and I see behind them Nico, Percy, and Annabeth coming after them. Then everything goes black
