Capitulo 2

"Oh my god Thomas, you take forever to get ready on the morning" I gawk at Ryan in annoyance who is sitting in the back laughing with Paulo. How dare he say that I take forever when they take years to get ready "I take forever? I was waiting for all of you!"

"Oh! Come on men! You know we are joking, don't be such a baby" I look at Ryan and I can't help to laugh. I have known Ryan since we were 8 years old. And we leave in the same street so we have always been pretty good friends. I practically have known him for half of my life by now, he is amazing and he always makes us laugh, he is that friend that when you are sad you can be sure he is going to make you have a good laugh and forget about your problems even if it is for a few minutes.

I grab my phone and pretend to look at something "I am the baby? Why don't you take a minute and look at you and Paulo" I said under my breath hoping no one hears me but fail at doing it because Paulo grabs my phone and says "Wow, wow, wow, wow, I don't know what were you implying there, but I don't like it" I have known Paulo for just 4 years which is a really short amount of time in comparison with Dylan. But Paulo is one of the greatest human beings I have ever met. Since the first moment I spoke to him he was so nice and funny. He is a great friend and a great adviser, he has become one of my best friends in a really short amount of time, but I trust him with my life.

"Oh god, could you all shut up? I didn't realize that my friends were little girls" I look at Dylan that is next to me and I can feel happiness filling my body. But I limit myself to just roll my eyes and mockingly smile at him "Oh Dylan, but if you are the lady of all of us"

"Are you kidding me? Look at me, I am all man in here" Dylan laughed and of course I followed him. His laugh is one of those that when you hear it you can't help but laugh. Paulo clear his throat and puts a hand on my shoulder "Anyway, how is your brother?"

Ryan starts laughing and I can already feel his sarcastic comment "He is probably as high as he can be, if you know what I mean" Ryan keeps laughing but I don't laugh as it is something delicate for me and I don't like talking about it a lot. Dylan looks at me and I guess he could see the discomfort in my face "Not cool, Ryan" Ryan slowly stops laughing as he realizes his mistake "Right, sorry"

"W-well uhm, he is doing better" I said following a long and awkward silence.

Dylan gives me a comforting smile and thank god, he changes the subject "So what are we doing tonight?" And then we just talked and talked and talked till we arrive to school and everyone went to different classes. I have history which is great because it is the only class I truly enjoy. I love learning about other people lives, what was going on with them and learning the reasons why they did the things they did. I just love that class. When I get in the room I see that my friend Alice has already arrive and that she is sitting at the front. I walk towards her and I see that she has a book on her legs. Of course, she is reading a book.

I sit beside her and take the laptop out of my backpack to start making the work that the professor leaved.

"Thomas!" I look at her and I see that Alice is leaning towards me and that the book is now on her legs "I am reading the best book that I have ever read"

"You say that every time"

I have known Alice for my whole life. But we started being real friends 3 years ago. I remember the first time that we had an actual conversation. I sat next to her because we had to make a project together but she was not really paying me that much attention because she was on her phone. I thought she was playing a game or something, till I grab her phone and saw that she was actually reading a book...

"Looking for Alaska? Are you seriously reading at school?" I give her the phone and she grab it pretty aggressively out of my hand "Yes I am reading and there is nothing wrong with it"
